LAST WEEK OF THE SEASON - 03/10 to 10/10 Staff. Even with it being the last week the staff WHO had been there all season where fantastic and all credit again to those who picked them (those in sivota last year were also fantastic). We paid for a seaview and with help from the reservation team we found ourselves in the perfect room. Although those s doing the early morning routines may have thought they were in a scene from The life of brian, on more than one occasion. BAR STAFF Great as ever and thanks to 2 strong guys and a resulting VERY strong g and t to take away the popping sound that filled the poolside. Hes on the mend and in the hands at Headley Court now. FOOD Again the staff always had a smile even when some of the other guests didnt have the manners that their wallets should afford them. To those guests please remember MANNERS MAKE THE MAN AND THEY COST YOU NOTHING it also costs you nothing to say hello either, when passing other guests. The variety was great and if a station ran out of food it was soon replaced with a fresh supply. Thanks for the 5 pound weight gain thats gonna that 2 months to shift! I blame it on the jelly. DINING EXPERIENCE Please could you consider making the dining room when it is out of season ie the school holidays CHILD FREE after a set time in the evening. I understand that every child is the most important thing to every parent but it is not acceptable behavior to allow children to wander, play, run or lay on the floor, where hot food is being served carried or plates cleared away. And yes we know there was the sanctuary of the adult only dining room but everyone was trying to hide in there too. Maybe this could be used to house families who eat after the high tea. CUSTOMER SERVICE These guys again ever patient. You couldnt pay me enough to sort out some of the s**t they deal with. And the wine was greatly received. Thanks guys. FLIGHT This was the only really downer of the whole holiday. Checkin staff miserable, plane dirty. Staff on board id say hormonal but not all female. The plane on the way out was not full which was nice BUT and this is a VERY BIG BUT...... I have travelled from a very early age and started to travel on my own from the age of 5. An aeroplane is a public place and a place of work. So why are children being allowed to run, play or sit in the gangway, making everyone else including other paying customers to step over them. The flight back for us, we were in row 29 was a living hell for near on 4 hours. The flight was full so all the under 2s travelling on parents laps had to stay there.... or not as the case maybe. "SORRY" doesnt cut the mustard after the second third forth or fifth time. Parents please remember that i too have paid for my seat and my holiday,my money is as hard earned as yours. You may love your children and want to be their best buddy but i dont. With this in mind would you "NEILSON" consider adult only weeks. We dont mind them being at the begining or end of the season and combined with the no single supp im sure you wont be disappointed. Neilson keep doing your thing we have traveled considerably with Mark Warner and since their down turn in quality and moody staff found you. Please dont go to, too bigger hotels, part of the joy for most of us, is to meet like minded people with shared interests. Sivota was great for that having only the one bar. By the end of that holiday we knew most of the returning guests on the plane. This time there where faces we hadnt even seen. Will continue to recommend you to friends over MW. P.S. If you need a secret ski holiday tester Im free for the whole winter. ; )

Just returned from a great week in Lemnos, our first Neilson holiday. Accommodation good and clean. Food plentiful and great choice - Athina's breakfast pancakes were the best! Facilities, equipment and and tuition all very good. Sean from Odyssey Diving was fantastic, great company and a consummate professional who worked with, and understood his clientele to achieve results within a very positive environment. Yiannis and Rick likewise deserve praise for their kite surfing tuition, again tailored to the individual but never losing the fun element. A few gripes - Thomas Cook airlines too cramped by half. The "extras" in the hotel remind us of budget airlines - just add a bit onto the price and include a safe key instead of charging 5 euros. Restaurant staff very pleasant but sometimes undermanned so we had to get our own place settings on several occasions. A female member of the beach team was unnecessarily rude to one of our party. We guessed this was because she had taken a fancy to the boyfriend of the girl in question, confirmed by the knowing cheers of the rest of the beach team on presentation night - probably the downside to employing gap year students who are not used to the concept of customer service. Such a contrast to the professionalism shown by the kite surfing and diving instructors.

My family have jsut returned from lovely week in Lemnos. The Thomas Cook flights were disappointing (2 hours late, grumpy check in staff, no leg room, return flight ran out of water so not able to wash hands in toilets!). Quick transfer from airport-30 mins was definitely bonus with 2 toddlers. The resort was easy to get around with a buggy but the rooms were disappointing given it's 4+ Neilsen rating. The bathroom in particular was so old, bath covered in stains, dirty tiles and very much in need of renovation (and we had paid a supplement for a superior sea facing room). If you only need a functional hotel room then no problems but if you are looking for a nice bath in which to relax after a day of sport then you might want to choose somewhere which has been more recently refurbished! I could not speak more highly of the children's club and quality of activities and equipement for the children. The staff were amazing and took our children (3 yrs and 18 months) out swimming every day. They also took them on kayaks, sailboats and speedboats which they loved. Hayley you really deserve a great deal of praise for your hardwork and Laura was brilliant with my elder son. The staff especially at the water front were excellent and didn't seem at all jaded by the fact it was almost the end of the season and there were usually enough sailing boats to go around. All in all we had a lovely time, the kids being so happy and well looked after made for a very happy family holiday but I so not think the standard of accommodation makes for 4+ stars. Also they charge 10 euros per week per beach towel and if you want to use a wet suit you again need to hire it (irritating extras)so take your own if you have them! The wind was much better than Sivota which we went to 4 years ago.
