Porto Heli stretches around the head of a large bay at the tip of the Argolic Peninsula, opposite the island of Spetses. A pine-covered headland almost encloses the bay and creates a large, natural, safe sailing area, beyond which are attractive pine-fringed coves, quiet sandy beaches and waterside tavernas that can all be explored by mountain bike or dinghy.

As Porto Heli is our designated high performance dinghy sailing centre, we include in your holiday  price a full range of RYA courses and tuition taking you from the basics to Sailing with Spinnakers, Racing and Performance Sailing.

The bay and area just beyond provides the perfect conditions and space to race and improve your technique and skills on our excellent range of high perfomance and asymmetric dinghies.

Our beach is across the road from the Nautica Bay Beahclub. The spacious hotel grounds and extensive facilities offer plenty of independence for youngsters of all ages who will quickly make new friends. Evening entertainment is mainly centred around the hotel bar and roof top taverna. For party animals, there are a couple of nightclubs and late bars in and around Porto Heli village.

What's good: weather, pool, free internet access, location. What's not so good: the bed's are really hard. Been here nearly a week and haven't been able to get a restful night's sleep; the bathroom is 2 star at best; the variety of food served is limited; the staff look tired. Must be the end of the season! Shame, as have been on Nielsen holiday's before. This ranks a lot lower than the others.

Sorry, to only rate as "Nothing Special", but being an avid windsurfer, I firmly believe that this location should be downgraded per windsurfing from the current “three star” rating. Admittedly, we had a “low wind” week, but having said that, being asked to either build "sandcastles" or play "crazy golf" at the briefing just rubbed the frustration in. We are (were) regular Neilson guests, this was our third of four trips this year, either we were very unlucky, or standards are slipping.
