Waterskiing in Greece with Neilson means that standards tows and tuition are included free of charge at our Beachplus Clubs in Lesvos, Halkidiki, Lemnos and Sivota. All our resorts are very flexible allowing you to do whatever you want, whenever you want, so you can waterski in the morning, play tennis in the afternoon, cycle in the early evening or just dabble when the mood takes you.

At our Beachplus Clubs in Greece, waterskiing is available six hours per day, six days a week. We aim to ensure that everybody who wants to ski gets at least two sessions per week. If you still have the energy for more, subsequent sessions can be booked on a daily basis subject to availability, or you could even try wakeboarding.

At Sivota dedicated skiers and boarders can opt for our Premium Waterski and Wakeboard Package, which adds two guaranteed 15 minute sessions each day when conditions are at their best, 6 days a week, to our standard ski and boarding option.

Expert Tuition

Safety and superb tuition at all levels is assured with our British Water Ski 'Approved Ski School' status. We have a number of performance craft including at least one Ski Nautique ski boat with inboard engine and a choice of monoskis, slalom skis, wakeboards and children's skis from Connelly and Hyperlite. We also provide a limited range of wetsuits.

Beginners have the reassurance of a training bar, allowing the instructor to guide them through the first tentative stages. We have an amazing success rate, with most beginners being able to stand up out of the water at the end of their first session!

Children's Waterskiing

Children who are beginning waterskiing and those who still require additional time to get started are able to waterski during the allocated session(s) in the free Surfbusters and Sharksters clubs, though children need to be at least 1.20m tall to participate in accordance with British Water Ski advice.

A great holiday with fantastic childcare. If you want sport, sunshine and freedom (from your children) then Neilson is hard to beat. Being our first holiday abroad with our 31/2 month old (not old enough to go into Starfishes)we were expecting it to be hard work, in fact it was just the opposite, thanks to all the staff at the resort and in head office. We enjoyed every minute of the holiday and I especially thought the childcare was second to none. Having worked for a competitor company, I would say Neilson is better. Not only for easing my pre-nerves and questions (thanks to Customer Services team and the Childcare Manager, Steff) but for the attention and care from the nannies in the resort who were all friendly and helpful when I used the creche. We would definately return and try a winter season with Neilson. The location and resort layout of Lemnos is great for babies, buggy-fiendly, lots of shade and a lovely well kitted-out creche. Roll-on next Summer!

Just returned from our first ever Neilson holiday to Sivota, Greece and it surpassed our expectations.

The only negative thing was the 45 minute wait in the coach on the tarmac at Preveza airport in the baking sun, after 35 mins the driver put on the air con but we'd already drank our water and were quite ratty by then, having been travelling since before 6am.

However, that was all forgotten upon our arrival at The Retreat, seeing breathtaking views and the rest of the holiday was excellent. A word of warning for those with small children, it is not buggy friendly due to the million steps and there isn't really anywhere for them to run about safely when not in kids club.

My boys, aged 8 and 11, had never been in a kids club but had an absolute blast, thanks to Alice, an angel in a Neilson T shirt!! They did every water activity we did, even the Kayak Safari and Ben managed to "turtle" the uncapsizeable fun boat!

We found all staff to be genuinely friendly, but not gushingly so, with the exception of Tommy, the "entertainer" who seemed rather quiet and unfriendly without a mic in his hand. Special mentions for these outstanding members of staff: Alice (Sharksters),Michael (Surfbusters "he's awesome!"), Simone & Bernie (bar), Emily & Ben (waterski - so patient & encouraging with me), Andy, Ed (beachies) and lastly Eliott, for being simply the nicest, most genuine fitness guy we've ever met - do the Swim and Stretch with him every day.

The accommodation was clean, tidy and had air con, hair dryers and comfy beds but unable to say much more than that as only spent probably an hour in the room all week, apart from sleeping!

We loved the 3 nights non inclusive nights as it gave us the chance to get the water taxi into Sivota - can recommend the Steak House and the Meditteraneo. However the food at the Retreat was excellent, with such a huge choice that it catered for everyone's taste. Kathy and Callum even cook pasta, omelettes, stir fries etc while you wait.

We did find the booking system quite odd and frenzied on the Monday morning but after that it was OK and once I managed to get on a sailing course just by turning up as 2 people hadn't shown up. A virgin water skier, I got 6 tows as the guys book your next tow as you get out of the water - the most exhilarating thing I have done in years. This was what I loved about Neilson that anyone could try anything and the staff would help them do it.

Finally take part in the Regatta, as it's good fun although hugely competitive - I just wanted to take part but my husband had other ideas. A fun boat won our Regatta with no wind!

Now Neilson converts, our only dilemma is do we return to Sivota or try somewhere else?
