Dinghy sailing in Turkey is a fantastic holiday experience. The consistent winds, warm water and sunny days make dinghy sailing in Turkey immensly enjoyable.

Novices will be setting sail solo in no time on a dinghy sailing holiday in Turkey with its light morning winds and our expert tuition.

The winds at our Beachplus centre in Ortakent build up gradually throughout the day to Force 3-4. In Turkey, dinghy sailing in the afternoon offers exciting and challenging conditions for improvers and adventurous beginners, who will enjoy the wide range of boats for all levels and conditions.

For less confident sailors, there are exhilarating rides with our instructors aboard Dart 16 catamarans or the chance to explore the surrounding coastline by kayak.

In our Beachplus Club you will experience a more informal style of teaching. Shorter group sessions are available on a daily basis for beginners and improvers. You just put your name down at the beginning of your holiday for the session(s) of your choice to guarantee a place. If there’s something you’re particularly keen to get to grips with and there’s no dedicated clinic, just ask and one of our beachfront staff will be more than happy to help.

Ideal for beginners or those looking for informal coaching, the sessions take you through the basics towards sailing competence and the RYA Level 1 certificate - ‘Start Sailing’. Various improver and taster sessions work to enhance your skills further, following the RYA syllabus

You can combine dinghy sailing in Turkey with a wide range of other activities including windsurfing, waterskiing, scuba diving, tennis and mountain biking.

Sailing in Turkey is available all day, every day (weather conditions permitting) and evening sailing continues until the last sailor has finished practising their new skills. We have a great range of modern, easy-to-sail dinghies, including fast single handers, larger dinghies and exciting, fun catamarans

I have just returned from a wicked holiday at The Seaside in Ortakent. I can't totally put in words how much fun my friend and I had.
We went on the Adult Only week in May 08 and truely can't fault anything about the whole week.
The room we stayed in was great and the hotel facilities as a whole were fab.
The food was great , sooo much to choose from every day and really fresh.
I have to say that one of the main things that made the holiday for me were the people. Both the Neilson Staff and the other guests. Everyone was sooo friendly and helpful.
James and Gary did a fantastic job and were sooo approachable and sociable at all times. Rusty's beach team were fab as well although I didn't do many of the beach activities on this holiday as we focusing on the wakeboarding but my friend and I got to know the team throughout the week and they were such good fun and really helpful and next time will make more of an effort to do some of the beach activities :)
The main team who my friend and I spent the most time with was the pontoon team and they were awesome. We payed the additional supplement to get guaranteed sets in each day and it was 100% worth it . Oly was our main instructor throughout the week and he was superb. I am totally missing his tuition back home already as his teaching skills are spot on. We both improved loads over the week and him videoing us on our boards and then giving constructive feedback really helped.
It was my first Neilson beach holiday and I can't believe I haven't discovered them before. I will defo. be going on another , in fact a group of us are hoping to head back out to Turkey in Sept./Oct..but would be even better if Neilson decide to put on another "Adults Only Week" as we will defo. be booking for that one :)
