What is the local currency?
The currency is local Egyptian Pound. There are plenty of cash machines around. The best cash card to have is Nationwide as they don't charge you when you withdraw money overseas.
What is Dahab like?
Dahab is a small town situated on the South Eastern coast of Egypt. It is located approximately 100km northwest of Sharm el Sheikh. Dahab is a world renowned destination for windsurfing, due to its reliable winds providing superb flat-water conditions. Diving and snorkelling are also very good with many reefs immediately adjacent to the waterfront hotels.
What type of accommodation will I be staying in and what board basis?
During your time in Dahab you will be staying at The Coralia Hotel, in a twin ensuite room. However you are able to stay in a single ensuite room for an additional £100 per week. The accommodation is full board (all your meals will be included) for the first 2 weeks of your course and is then half board for the remainder of your stay.
How much does the Academy cost
Prices start from £4999 for a 16 week package and £2999 for a 7 week package. Work experience placements are included on the course at no extra cost.
Am I guaranteed a job offer on compeltion of the training
The offer of employment with Neilson Active Holidays is subject to completion and graduation from the course. The offer of employment can be withdrawn at any time if you fail to meet the course expectations and standards of behaviour expected from an employee of Neilson as outlined in the Overseas Employee Handbook.
Here is a list of jobs, which you will be able to do once you have completed the course:

Watersports instructor - You will be running day sailing programmes without supervision. However, you will also be involved in the maintenance programme, admin, airport transfers and evening socials with the guests. Your duties would vary from week to week and could include any aspect of holiday delivery.

Children's Club Staff - Your responsibilities will include being an active member of the childcare team, you will be entertaining the children with various activities both indoors and out in a stimulating and safe environent.

Mountain Bike Guides - You will need to maintain our fleet of mountain bikes and design and deliver an outstanding guiding programme, as well as help and deliver other apects of the holiday.
What do my course fees cover?
Your course fees include: • return flights from Gatwick or Manchester to Sharm el Sheikh • a shared twin ensuite room • full board for 2 weeks then half board for the remainder of the course • all major items of equipmemt are also included.
You will need to budget for: • personal clothing and some equipment • food whilst on half board • your own medical insurance
• any extra options you wish to do on your course whilst in Dahab • spending money for entertainment, trips or extra activities.
In Eqypt most of your meals are provided. The recommended weekly budget is approximately £70
Is there any equipment I need to bring for my training course?
Here is a suggested list of clothing and other items needed for your trip.

All your safety equipment will be provided for the activities which you take part in.

Would it be a problem If I took extra luggage?

Will I need a visa?
All visitors to Egypt require a visa. Most nationalities can obtain these on arrival at Sharm elSheikh airport. When arriving in Sharm el Sheikh you will be told you need to go to the left hand side of the building to get your entry visa stamps. These cost approx £12, $15 or 150 LE (Local Egyptian). It is best if you have the correct money on you. Please ensure that your passport is valid for 6 months longer than your expected stay in Egypt.
