Kitesurfing holidays - experience the exciting new watersport of the moment. If you're looking to try something new and exciting, you must experience the thrills of kitesurfing.
Kite surf holidays at our centre in
Dahab, Egypt offer the perfect destination for beginners - with loads of space on the shore of the lagoon to perfect your kite-flying technique and a safe enclosed shallow lagoon for a safe introduction to the water.
Kitesurfing is one of the fastest growing watersports in the world, influenced by a range of sports including
windsurfing which is included at our centre in Dahab and
wakeboarding which is available with a local operator.
Our Instructors
On our kitesurfing holidays you will receive instruction from British Kite Surfing Association (BKSA) or International Kiteboarding Organisation (IKO) instructors. From basic kite control on the beach to assistance with waterborne and airborne manoeuvres our instructors are there to help you develop and get the most from your kite and board.
Tuition
Despite initial appearances, it's not difficult to learn to kitesurf. Holidays offering such excellent facilities and tuition mean it's a relatively fast learning curve once you’ve mastered standing on the board whilst flying the kite, turns, gybes, jumps and launches will be quick to follow.
Introduction to Kitesurfing - Beginner Course
• You'll start flying small land-based kites to learn flying techniques before progressing to the more familiar kites.
• Once on the water the shallow and spacious bay we use means you will never feel out of your depth and your confidence will build quickly.
• The course covers many aspects of kitesurfing including safety and control of the kite on land and on water, launching and landing the kite, body dragging, relaunching the kite and self rescue.
• The cost is £180 per person and includes ten hours’ tuition and hire of all equipment including board and kite, buoyancy aids, harnesses and helmets.
• Minimum age is 13 years.
• Due to the tidal nature of the kitesurfing lagoon in Dahab kitesurfing is not possible at certain times of the day. The course will be structured around these times; sessions may take place early in the morning or later in the evening and will be allocated once in resort.
Dahab is best suited to newcomers to kitesurfing, however more experienced kitesurfers and those bringing their own equipment are able to use Dahab’s kitesurf lagoon, though local limitations apply to other areas of the bay, where safety cover is provided for sailors and windsurfers only.
We recommend reserving your kitesurfing package at the time of booking
your holiday, as places are limited and availability cannot be
guaranteed in resort, so
