Scuba Diving - PADI Tuition

PADI Scuba Diving Courses

Our centres offer a full range of dive packages and PADI dive courses, which we recommend you pre-book through us to ensure availability and best prices. Availability of each PADI diving course varies from centre to centre and the course, which is best suited to you depends upon your level of interest and experience.

The Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) is the world’s most widely recognised PADI dive course organisation. Divers certified by other agencies (such as BSAC, CMAS, SSI) who would like to book our PADI scuba diving holiday are also welcome. Qualified divers should bring proof of their qualification and log book.

Pre-book able PADI Dive Courses

Try Dive

Included in the cost of your holiday in most of our centres is the chance to try diving for the first time in the safe confines of a swimming pool. If you like it, you can then pay to join a Discover Scuba course, a perfect introduction to the world of scuba diving or a four day PADI Open Water course, giving you the skills to continue diving.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

This PADI diving course is ideally suited for newcomers wishing to try diving for the first time to see if they like it. The Discover Scuba Diving course includes an introduction to the theory of diving, a chance to try out and learn the basic skills in a confined water environment (pool or sheltered bay) and then a closely supervised dive.

PADI Open Water/ Junior Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water course qualifies you to dive with a buddy, independently of schools or professionals. You will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving; complete knowledge development sessions, five confined water dives and four open water dives. Learn how to set up your own equipment, how to control your depth underwater, plan a safe dive and basic recovery techniques. This course requires you to purchase the PADI Open Water manual from your local PADI centre or from our PADI dive operator in resort.

PADI Referral Course

This is the second part of a full PADI Open Water course and requires you to have completed all of the theory and pool sessions elsewhere. You will complete your four open water dives over two days.

PADI Scuba Review

If you are a certified diver and haven’t dived for a period of 6 months or more we recommend you complete the scuba review. This course consists of a knowledge review that covers basic safety information, a confined water session that gives you the opportunity to practise basic scuba skills then a supervised open water dive.

PADI Advanced Open Water

Expand your diving experience and build on your knowledge from the Open Water course. This in-water, performance-based course includes a total of five dives. Compulsory dives are Deep and Navigation and you can choose three others from the following list:

• Drift Diver • Multilevel Diver • Peak Performance Buoyancy • Underwater Naturalist • Underwater Photographer
• AWARE Fish Identification • Boat Diver  • Wreck Diver • Night Diver (recommended) • Search and Recovery Diver
• Underwater Filmier

PADI Rescue Diver

During the course you will learn panicked diver responses and how to surface an unconscious diver. To enrol in a PADI Rescue Diver course, you must provide a certificate beyond entry level, a current first aid certificate and documentation of at least 20 logged open water scuba dives demonstrating experience of deep and navigation diving.

PADI Divemaster

This course is the first professional qualification and allows you to organise and conduct diving activities. The course develops your water skills and academic knowledge including dive planning, control, supervising students and dive management. To enrol in a PADI Divemaster course, you must provide a certificate specific to scuba rescue, a CPR certificate and a first aid certificate from a recognised organisation. To get the most out of this course we recommend you do it over a period of no less than one month.

The availability of each PADI dive course varies from centre to centre.
