Beginners
Pas de la Casa welcomes beginners. Its ski school meets at the foot of the slopes,
right in the heart of the village so from most properties, you’ll never
have far to walk (the first day involves a walk to the nursery slopes,
approx. 150m from the foot of the slopes). The ski school employs a
number of English-speakers, so communication is not a problem.
Intermediates
The wide open slopes are easily accessible from the centre of the
resort and great for improvers. A fast, six-man chairlift takes you
quickly to the top which opens up to a wide variety of skiing including
picturesque runs at Grau Roig. There is no shortage of top-to-bottom
reds and blues for intermediates.
Advanced
With the link to Soldeu, the skiing area has increased considerably,
and the advanced skier has plenty to explore. Around 1.7 hectares of
skiable terrain, 192km of slopes and plenty of excellent off-piste after a good snowfall.
Snowboarding
This is a popular resort for boarders; its wide-open slopes make ideal
terrain for cruising or mastering the basics. There is also ahalf-pipe
and boarder-cross in Grau Roig and El Tarter and a snowboard park in
the central descent area of Pas de la Casa. Easy access to the off-piste
allows everybody to experience the unbeatable feeling of riding in deep
snow.
