Soldeu & El Tarter are a part of the impressive Grandvalira ski area with 193km of pistes ranging from wide, confidence-boosting blue runs to long, tree-lined reds. Plenty to explore, even for the more experienced. Beginners will enjoy several nursery slopes at the top of the gondola next to Soldeu’s ski & snowboard school, whose tuition is continually rated as one of the best in our programme. A great all-round resort for all abilities.
Soldeu offers some of the best accommodation in Andorra, from budget self-catering to four star hotels featuring a state-of-the-art mountain spa centre. The relaxed village offers a good choice of restaurants and bars, with lively après ski and often live music from resident’s and ski instructor’s bands. Ten minutes down the road, El Tarter is a convenient, quieter base offering quality accommodation centered around a high-speed gondola.
Ski holiday in Soldeu & El Tarter
The traditionally-built village of Soldeu is centred around an express gondola which provides swift access to the slopes from the Sporthotel Village. The resort of Soldeu provides some of the best accommodation and dining options in Andorra, and enjoys a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere offering a good choice of restaurants, bars and shops.
A few miles down the road, the skiing holiday resort of El Tarter has grown over recent years and now offers high quality accommodation options conveniently located around a recently-built modern gondola and chairlift which accesses the Grandvalira ski area. Evenings in El Tarter are considerably quieter than neighbouring Soldeu. The free ski bus provides a frequent service linking all the ski resorts in the Grandvalira area, including El Tarter, Soldeu & Pas de la Casa.
