Maria Alm is a traditional, picturesque village dominated by a beautiful church and surrounded by numerous cosy cafés, bars and restaurants. Set in the extensive Hochkoning ski region of Salzburgerland, this resort offers a fantastic ski area stretching across several valleys from Muhlbach in west to Saalfelden in the east, ideal for any ski holiday.

Its impressive 150kms of slopes and variety of terrain means this area can cater for all abilities - from gentle nursery slopes in the village or next to the middle station, to numerous challenging tree-lined runs. There are a multitude of cosy mountain bars and restaurants, some of the best we’ve come across, which means a hot chocolate or something stronger is never too many runs away during your ski holiday.

For non-skiers, there are various off-slope ski holiday activities including tobogganing, snowshoeing, horse-drawn sleigh rides and day trips to Salzburg or Innsbruck.
