With gentle nursery slopes easily accessible at both the base and top of the gondola, this is a resort ideally suited to beginners and families - not just for the amount of easier runs but also the sheer convenience of it all.
The village began life as a goldmining settlement and has developed into a charming, typically Austrian ski resort. The attractive church dominates the village centre, surrounded by shops, restaurants and a few bars that fill as the slopes empty.
Although not a lively town, there is plenty for non-skiers wanting to enjoy the walking and mountain atmosphere off the slopes.
