Beginners
Rauris is a fantastic resort for complete beginners. There are nursery
slopes next to the bottom of the gondola but it won’t be long before
they are exploring the easy blue runs at the top of the Hochalm area
and taking in breathtaking views across some of the highest mountains
in Austria.
Intermediates
The perfectly groomed, long and wide, blue and red runs make Rauris the
ideal place to improve techniques and gain confidence. The Kreuzboden
and Waldalm areas are great cruising areas and when it’s time for a
break, stop at one of the cosy, mountain restaurants for a well-earned
schnapps.
Advanced
There is a black run from Heimalm to the bottom of the gondola to
challenge the advanced skier but there are limited others to test the
thighs. However, there are plenty of off-piste opportunities in powder
snow.
Snowboarding
For beginner snowboarders the resort is superb. Improvers will love the perfectly groomed slopes and those looking for a bit of a challenge will enjoy the good freeride opportunities, a boardercross and natural fun park.
