Canada - Ski & Rail Safari

An exciting 14 night tour, staying in luxurious Fairmont hotels & seeing the best of the two neighbouring provinces of Alberta & British Columbia all while enjoying up to 10 full days skiing in Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper & Whistler along the way*.

In between resorts your transfer coach will pass through the spectacular Icefields Parkway & The Canadian train will take you through valleys, canyons & mountain passes. The final destination is cosmopolitan Vancouver & the dramatic Coastal Mountains.

This is an exciting trip to see the untamed wilderness of the famous Banff & Jasper National Parks with the Rocky Mountains as a backdrop.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Calgary - Transfer to Banff - Stay in Banff

Your transfer bus will take you from Calagry, up into the Rockies and through some spectacular scenery until you arrive in Banff where you will spend 4 nights in the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.

Day 2 - 4: Ski The Big 3

After a well earned rest you'll have 3 days to explore the ski areas of Norquay, Lake Louise & Sunshine Village.

Day 5 - 8: Transfer to Jasper - Stay in Jasper

Take a coach transfer from Banff to Jasper along the famous Icefields Parkway - one of the most dramatic & spectacular landscapes in the world. Here Columbia Glacier covers nearly 325km2 and dominates the surrounding landscape.
Once there, you'll spend 4 nights at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge on the shore of Lac Beauvert giving you 3 days skiing at Marmot Basin.

Day 9: Transfer to Vancouver - Stay on 'The Canadian' Train

Spend 1 night on board VIA Rail’s ‘The Canadian’ heading west overnight to Vancouver. ‘Berth’ accommodation, with dinner included. 'Roomette' and 'Bedroom' available as an upgrade at a supplement.

Day 10 to 14:Transfer to Whistler - Stay in Whistler

Your final stop gives you 5 nights at the magnificent slopeside Fairmont Chateau Whistler allowing you to take 4 days skiing in North America’s biggest resort of Whistler.

Day 15: Transfer to Vancouver - Depart vancouver

If you have time on your last day you may enjoy a hop on/off trolley tour of Vancouver. You may choose to book additional days in Vancouver at the Fairmont Waterfront.

Throughout the 'Fairmont' tour you will stay in Fairmont Hotels in a Fairmont room on a room only basis. These rooms are comfortably furnished with a king bed, or one or two queen beds, TV, tea & coffee making facilities and a full ensuite bathroom.

Please note that on the 'Fairmont Gold' tour option, gold rooms area only available in the Fairmont Chateau Whistler part of the tour.

This safari is based on stays in other non Fairmont hotels throughout your stay. In Banff you will stay in the Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa, in Jasper the Lobstick Lodge and the Crystal Lodge in Whistler. All of these hotels offer very comfortable accommodation and friendly service.
