Levi - A Children's Wonderland

Levi provides great facilities for the smallest of visitors. ‘Kids Land’ is an enchanting children’s area to the left of the main pistes. Here you’ll find some gentle slopes and three free ski lifts where experienced instructors encourage the smallest skiers (5-6yrs) during ski lessons. Outdoor games, activities and mini-races are organised daily (parents must be present) to ensure no-one gets bored, and cosy wooden huts where hot drinks can be enjoyed are nestled amid the trees. Families are welcome to practice their new-found skills in this area free of charge.

There is also a cosy, indoor crèche where nannies are available to look after non-skiing children (from 3 months). Kids Land is open daily 9.30am-5pm. Supervised indoor childcare is available by the hour - prices per hour €7 (0-3yrs), €6 (3-6yrs), €5 (7yrs+). Places  in the non-ski creche can be organised locally or pre-booked directly with Kids Land by emailing: lastenmaa@levi.fi or faxing: 00 358 16 641 247.

resort good-plenty of activities for non skiers, easily arranged via info office or rep. buses ran hourly around pistes that were open-shame they stopped at 6.30pm,as we were in log cabins (warm comfy well equipped in picturesque area) couldnt make use of late opening (8pm)red front slopes unless we got a taxi(similar cost to uk) good ski hire-zero point-also they will replace lost ski passes if you keep number.beginners need to bus to south slopes-good for learning/practice.ravintola restaurant popular good and less pricey than most -recommended. cantina bar good for snacks-fries cheaper than zero point!plenty of snow. be prepared for nakedness at tunturi spa-didnt bother me!
hated flying from heathrow-lack of organisation from BMI didnt help, but would not stop me returning.

We have returned from Levi after a fab week (half term) As a cross country skier it was like paradise with so many routes and floodlights at night. The kotas en route with fires and refreshments were great. The downhill skiing for the experienced teenagers in my family met with approval. We went on an excursion to the Reindeer farm including a sleigh ride - this was magical (although the excursions are expensive). Our rep Vikki was helpful and very good at her job. Reindeer steak at the Steak House was delicious
