La Rosière is a charming resort which has two mini-centres following investment over the last few years. There is the traditional chalet-style village, and the other more modern development called ‘Les Eucherts’.

The resort is surrounded by the spectacular mountains of the Haute Tarantaise range and lies close to Italy. It is quiet & friendly - particularly well suited to families due to its child care, variety of wide gentle slopes & good value restaurants.

Linked to La Thuile in Italy, the ‘Espace San Bernardo’ ski area offers an impressive 150km of slopes and allows you to discover the very best of both French and Italian culture.
It has an impressive snow record even with mainly south facing, sunny slopes.

HELISKIING

Thanks to its location as a border village, La Rosière is the only resort in Savoie that can offer you helicopter drops over the Val d'Aoste massifs.

After an unforgettable flight from the Petit-St-Bernard pass, fabulous off-piste itineraries await both skiers and snowboarders:

  • The Ruitor : at an altitude of 3300 metres - with a 2100 metre vertical drop
  • The Miravidi : at an altitude of 3065 metres - with a 1800 metre vertical drop
  • The Freduaz : at an altitude of 2900 metres - with a 1700 metre vertical drop
  • The Mont Ouille : at an altitude of 3099 metres

The outings are supervised by high mountain guides and are made up of single or multiple drops - bookable locally.

Overall, this area caters for all abilities but is particularly good for beginner and intermediate skiers with a great range of blue and red runs.
