Meribel & Mottaret

Made up of many chalet style buildings, the village centre has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. There are many things to do if you are a non-skier and you can access some of the mountain restaurants by ski lift enabling you to meet friends for lunch.

Mottaret has a smaller village centre with a good range of welcoming restaurants and pubs at reasonable prices for the valley. There are regular buses to Meribel, which has lively après-ski (15 minutes travel time).

Explore the Three Valleys from the air
Take to the skies in a light aircraft tour of the area. A variety of durations and tours are available. This has to be one of the best means of getting your bearings and appreciating the enormity of the majestic Alps.

Swap your skis for skates
There is an indoor public ice skating rink in the centre of Méribel where you can skate well into the evening.

Take to the mountains on a snowmobile tour
Little energy required for this excursion. You can travel as a driver or passenger & explore the slopes in the evening once all the lifts are closed.

Enjoy some friendly competition
Take on your friends and family in a game of bowling at the 6 lane bowling alley at the Olympic Centre in Méribel. As relaxing or adrenaline fuelled as you wish to make it!

Make a change from sliding down the mountain!
The Olympic Centre in Méribel houses an indoor climbing wall so you can test your skills at making your own way back up! Open during the day and selected evenings in the week.
