At its heart, Selva is a skiers' resort with après bars everywhere, but
nearby Ortisei (20 minute bus ride) is a real grown up Italian town
with more than enough facilities to occupy the most die-hard sightseer
and shopaholic. For après-ski the whole of the valley offers a plethora of bars to suit
all tastes, from laid back Italian cafés to full on Austrian style
Stubes just made for quaffing Jäegermeister.

Snowshoeing
Forget tennis rackets strapped to your feet, snowshoeing these days is techy stuff. Float across the top of the snow and into the otherwise inaccessible woodlands of Val Gardena on this lovely human powered adventure.
