Some Useful Tips
    • Swedish accommodation commonly features ‘Scandinavian twins’ which are two separate mattresses and bases sharing a common headboard which can be made up as a double or two twins. ‘Family bunk rooms’ are another feature of Swedish rooms. These comprise of a smaller double bed with a wall-mounted bunk bed normally positioned above the headboard – sometimes the bunk is of a fold down configuration.

    • Swedish cuisine is particularly meat and fish based - expect to see deer, moose and salted fish on the menu as well as more familiar beef, lamb, chicken and fresh fish dishes. Preserves such as lingonberry or cloudberry jam are popular and a tasty compliment to rich meat dishes. Note, evening meals tend to be a set menu rather than a choice of dishes.

    • Bed linen and towels are normally provided in cabins and apartments but be prepared to make your own beds on arrival.
