Beginners
Vemdalen is the ideal resort for complete beginners of all ages. The
long, wide slopes are well planned and designed to lead back to one
central meeting point at the base of the slopes. Vemdalen’s ski school
has a fantastic reputation and is one of our award winning ski schools.
Its English speaking instructors provide excellent tuition, helping to
instill confidence in even the most cautious beginner.
Intermediates
The ski school’s motto is “It’s Never Too Late To Learn”, highlighting
their dedication to ensure that all skiers get something out of their
skiing experience. The ski terrain
offers great intermediate skiing, with 10 lifts and 13 pistes in
Vemdalen & 8 lifts and 15 pistes in Bjornrike, more suited to
improvers and intermediate skiers. Vemdalen also offers floodlit skiing
two evenings per week until the end of March.
Advanced
The combined resorts of Vemdalen, Bjornrike and Klovsjo/ Storhogna
offer some variety for more competent skiers. A ski bus provides access
to these areas (the service runs at least four days a week, more during
high season and is payable locally). You can also take advantage of the
specialist ski school courses which include off-piste, carving, moguls
or telemark skiing.
Snowboarding
With two dedicated fun parks (including the new park at Skalsfjallet)
and varied terrain, snowboarders are well catered for here. However,
boarders should be aware of the many draglifts and T–bars!
