From ‘Start Windsurfing’ for complete beginners to intermediate and advanced sessions covering the harness, footstraps, waterstart and carve gybes, our RYA Training Centres offer the freedom to take advantage of expert tuition whenever you like.
The RYA has developed a training method, specifically designed to match the needs and expectations of today’s windsurfers.
Start Windsurfing
Will teach you the basics of windsurfing using the correct equipment, enabling you to sail a continuous course to a point out on the water and back again.
Intermediate Windsurfing (planing and non-planing)
Will introduce you to techniques such as beachstart, and use of the harness and foot straps. You will also learn to trim the board in order to get it up on the plane.
Advanced Windsurfing
Usually delivered as a series of clinics, these sessions cover techniques such as fast tacking, beach starting, water starting and carve gybing. Windsurfers seeking advanced instruction should head for Dahab, Ortakent or Vassiliki.

Have the widest choice of locations with all of our resorts offering a great environment in which to start windsurfing along with an excellent array of wide style boards and lightweight rigs.
Intermediates
Will also find the majority of our resorts, with the exception of The Retreat in Sivota, offer great conditions and allow fast progress with attentive tuition and the right equipment.
