The Dalmatian Coast, Croatia

The Dalmatian coastline is perfect for those with a spirit of adventure with myriad unspoilt islands to explore. Overnight stays vary from a handful of modern marinas through to remote anchorages in inlets and creeks, with only basic shoreside facilities. The thermally generated sea breeze means that mornings are light breezes, starting from calm at sunrise, often building up to steady force fours and fives in the afternoon.

Great cruising around unspoilt remote islands, scattered with small villages and marinas, each one offering a very warm welcome. A yachting holiday in Croatia on the Dalmatian Coast is perfect for those with a spirit of adventure with myriad unspoilt islands to explore. The paradise island of Korcula combines the natural beauty of this region with historical towns and villages typical to Croatia. Yachting holidays start at our base in the village of Lumbarda, where a collection of shops and restaurants are gathered around the harbour.

Visiting sailors have never been so welcome, now that the political and economic stability of the area has returned. The Croat hospitality still shines through and guarantees you will be very well looked after.

Dubrovnik, the region's main city, is a beautiful fortified town, well worth a vist on your yacht holiday in Croatia. It has been so carefully restored that it is now deemed to be a World Heritage Site. This fascinating town has plenty to offer the tourist and we would strongly recommend you spend at least a day exploring its narrow streets and magnificent central square.

Had 343 in June 2007 and holiday was difficult to fault. Lead crew excellent, boat was spotless. Long transfer to Lumbarda but last section by boat breaks it up. Area we sailed in was beautiful and I rank this holiday as one of our best ever. I am coming back in June 2008..I think that says it all.
