The Greek Peloponnese

The Peloponnese offers great sailing with an unspoilt stunning coastline to explore. The winds are very reliable with lighter breezes in the morning and steady force 3’s and 4’s in the afternoon. Our sailing area based around Porto Heli is a great base from which to explore the bustling tourist islands of Spetses and Hydra to the east and south east.

Our range of one and two week flotillas in the Peloponnese gives you the opportunity to thoroughly explore this beautiful part of Greece.
The bustling Saronic islands and Peloponnese coast offer many tiny harbours to explore within a short distance, ideal for our one week flotillas. Further afield to the north west is the impressive city of Navplion and the spectacular coastline running almost due south from Plaka to Monemvasia.

Steady winds allow you to swallow up sea miles without effort as you go. With few other flotillas operating south of Spetses, the Peloponnese is a great place to enjoy scenic, uncrowded sailing.

Flotilla Experience Levels

Twp people aboard each yacht aged 18 years or over must have had several day's active experience in charge of a yacht. If this level of experience cannot be satisfied a Stay and Sail holiday, coupled with an Introduction to Yachting or Brush Up training course should be completed.

Our first flotilla and definitely not our last. Also first time sailing, it was all brilliant fun. You're learning something new whilst getting the warmth and sunshine, chilling out, active, sociable, fun, exhilarating, bit of everything. Our lead crew, Spikey Dave, Debs, Mikey and Sofia were excellent. Week 1 at the hotel where we did our 4 days intro to sailing course was also lovely. Friendly staff, nice rooms and great pool to relax by. Anyone thinking about it, don't think, just do it!

Our fifth flotilla, June 13/27 2009, but the first without plenty of family to help. A challenge was presented by Penni's partial disability with MS but our lead crew of Mike , Bee and Mike the Enjo on Thalia rose to the occasion and could not have been more helpful. Our yacht, a Beneteau 323 called Adara, was easy to sail, even single handed, and was comfortable and safe in some strong winds. At times it was quite physically demanding for us 60 year olds but we had a brilliant holiday and will return to Greece with Neilson for another flotilla in the near future.

Fantastic Delivery Trip May 3 - 13 2009 with Sharon, Chris and Rory. Cannot speak highly enough of the pleasure of being part of this trip or Sharon's people and boating skills.
