You know all about the inclusive activities on the water at our beachclubs, but what does life beneath the waves hold? From shallow waters to the deep depths; there's a good range of PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) dive packages and courses, many of which can be tailored to your interest and your experience. If you're a qualified diver, don't forget to bring your log book!
Scuba diving is available at Vounaki Beachclub in Greece. You cannot pre-book scuba diving, but once you get to the beachclub, have a chat with the dive team and they will help you to decide which course is suitable for you and get you started on your underwater adventure.
With a free try dive included at Vounaki Beachclubs, there's no reason not to get started. A typical try dive session involves poolside tuition on diving techniques and equipment, followed by a scuba dive in the hotel pool, supervised by qualified instructors.
It's up to you just how far you want to go, if you enjoy yourself, then book on a Discover Scuba course, it's a great introduction to the world of scuba diving. You’ll soon be hooked.
What does it feel like to breathe underwater? And how do I use all this equipment? If you’ve never been Scuba Diving before, take part in our introductory dive under the supervision of a PADI professional.
You’ll learn how to use your mask, snorkel and fins plus find out about how dive gauges, bouncy control devices and regulators will keep you safe whilst underwater. There's plenty of practice in shallow water to get you going.
Get you scuba skills going! You’ll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving during our knowledge development sessions, take part in five water dives to learn basic skills and four open water dives to really put your skills to the test. This is the one to complete if you want to be able to dive with a buddy, independently of schools.
You’ll also need a course manual. This is approximately €125 per person or alternatively you can participate in PADI eLearning. You’ll need to be 10 years old or more to take part.
PADI Referral is the second part of a full PADI Open Water course and requires you to have completed all of the theory and pool sessions elsewhere. You’ll complete your four open water dives over two days.
If you are a certified diver and haven’t dived for a period of six months or more we recommend you complete the PADI Scuba Review. It’s a knowledge review that covers basic safety drills, you’ll also get to practice your scuba skills before completing a supervised open water dive.
Advance your diving by building up your confidence, expanding your skills and packing in loads more scuba knowledge. There are five dives to complete in this course including two compulsory dives - ‘Deep’ and ‘Underwater Navigation’. Learn how to deal with the physiological effects of deep diving and refine your navigation skills using kick-cycles, landmarks and time.
Learn about panicked diver responses and how to surface an unconscious diver so that you can help others in need. Problem solving skills and how to be a great buddy make this course fun and totally unforgettable.
To enrol in a PADI Rescue Diver course, you must provide a certificate beyond entry level, a current first aid certificate and documentation of at least 20 logged open water dives demonstrating experience of deep and navigation diving.
