Walking
The outstanding beauty of the Kassandra peninsula can be best appreciated on foot. Taking a stroll from the club base you can easily reach the village of Nea Skioni with its harbour and interesting churches. Of particular interest is the Church of the Virgin Mary Phaneromeni (2km from the village), adorned with beautiful 16th century frescoes.
Car Hire
Hiring a car is a great way to see the parts of the area which will interest you. Thessaloniki is the cosmopolitan 2nd city of Greece, easily reached by car and worth a visit for its historic sites, fabulous shopping and atmospheric bars and tavernas. Many of the villages and beaches on the route to Thessaloniki are also worth a look, a great way to get a picture of unspoilt Greece.
