Voss at a glance
Known as the adventure capital of Norway, Voss is a lakeside resort in the heart of fjord Norway, surrounded by majestic mountains and crystal-clear rivers making it the perfect place to enjoy an abundance of activities. Ideally located only an hour from Bergen and midway between two of Norway’s most famous and spectacular fjords, Sognefjord to the north and Hardangerfjord to the south, it’s also a fantastic base from which to explore some of Norway’s most famous natural attractions.
For impressive views of the town and the start to many circular walks, take the Mt Hangur cable car to the top of the mountain. For relaxed strolls, lakeshore trails offer beautiful views. For the more adventurous, mountain biking, white water rafting, paragliding and sea kayaking are just some of the exciting activities on offer here. The towns itself offers plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants, as well as numerous local arts and crafts shops.

Enjoy a scenic train journey from Voss to remote Myrdal Mountain Station and change to the famous Flåm Railway, Norway’s steepest track where you can expect to see spectacular waterfalls, rivers, glaciers and snow-capped mountains. Then it’s onto an exhilarating fast RIB boat to enjoy a Fjord Safari through World Heritage listed Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord and onto the town to Gudvangen before transferring back to Voss via a spectacular mountain drive through the Nærøydalen Valley. Standard Package - Train to Myrdal - Flåm Railway – Downhill Mountain Bike Ride - RIB Fjord Safari – Bus to Voss
