Adelboden Resort Info, Switzerland

The resort is a haven for relaxation and an ideal base for keen hikers.

Adelboden at a glance

Adelboden is an idyllic, peaceful resort situated in the Bernese Oberland region. Traditional farming is still prominent with many mountain huts and cheese dairies in the area serving fresh produce. The 15th Century church in the heart of the village is a focal point in the summer, with live entertainment and concerts often organised.

The resort is a haven for relaxation and an ideal base for keen hikers. It offers delightful riverside walks along the valley floor and miles of gentle, enticing tracks. The resort is not shy of more challenging alpine hikes either, with the cable car accessing endless hiking opportunities higher up. Routes stretch from Kanderstag in the east to Lenk in the west. The extensive lift system opens up even more opportunities to explore the Schwandfeldspitz, Hahnemoos and Metsch areas. In addition, there are eight diverse Nordic walking trails as well as a themed ‘Floral Mountain’ route.

A couple of natural wonders in the local area not be missed include the 2000ft Engstiligen waterlls and Cholorean Gorge.
