Great for...
✓Glacier hiking: One of the largest in Switzerland, the Morteratsch glacier is less than 2km from Morteratsch train station making it easily accessible for a day trip. From the glacier’s rim, you can appreciate spectacular views over the Bernina mountain range and look out for the marking showing the glacier’s recession over the last century.
✓Kitesurfing & windsurfing: Silvaplana Lake has become increasingly popular with kitesurfers and windsurfers, thanks to consistent winds. Designated windsurfing and kitesurfing zones at opposite ends of the lake ensure there’s no danger of territorial disputes.
✓Mountain Biking: The upper Engadine is a playground for bikers with over 400km of trails in a spectacular setting. Take your bike up on the funicular, cable car or gondola to enjoy the magnificent riding without a steep uphill ride first.
