90th Verona Opera Festival 2012

The 90th Verona Opera Festival runs between 22nd June and 2nd September 2012. Performances are held in the most spectacular of venues, the ancient open-air Roman amphitheatre, Arena di Verona, in the heart of the old city. For visitors to the Lake Garda region, Verona or Venice, a night at the opera is a highlight. We strongly recommend you pre-book your seats at the time of booking your holiday as performances are popular and get booked up in advance.

Seating and Prices

We offer the following seat types for the Verona Opera:

Grey Sector D & E: These are unreserved stone steps. Cushions are available to hire locally. Prices from £23 per person

Green Sector: These are reserved iron low-backed chairs without cushions. Cushions are available to hire locally. Prices from £104 per person.

Prices include a return coach transfer to/from the Arena except for guests staying in Verona.

During the performance

1. For any problems experienced or information required during the performance, please contact the ushers.

2. It is possible to hire soft cushions for your unreserved stone step or iron-backed chair inside the amphitheatre.

3. Cloakrooms are not available.

4. During the evenings of the performances an Information Service is provided at gate number 5 from 7pm

5. Programmes for the event are on sale inside the amphitheatre on the evenings of the performances. These publications, as well as any merchandise from the Arena di Verona range, can be purchased at gate number 10 which is open every day during the Arena Festival. Be careful not to purchase false merchandise of inferior quality: official merchandise is on sale exclusively in the above-mentioned places.

Important information

1. Issued tickets cannot be refunded. Reimbursement will only take place for the cases and under the conditions mentioned in point number 2 below.

2. In the event of bad weather, the performance is never cancelled before its scheduled time of commencement. If weather conditions prevent the show’s normal performance, Fondazione Arena reserves the right to postpone its commencement until maximum 150 minutes after the scheduled time, before giving notice of the performance’s cancellation, if this should be required. Tickets will be refunded only if the performance is cancelled before it starts. No refunds will be made if the performance is interrupted after it has begun.

3. The Arena di Verona Foundation reserves the right to change dates, schedules and/or programmes in the event of technical problems or problems caused by forces majors.

4. Spectators must be in possession of a ticket or an admission card and must show it to the ushers on request; they must occupy their assigned seat and behave appropriately during the performance. If, on request, the spectator is without a ticket, he/she will be obliged to pay the price for a new ticket.

5. Children under the age of 4 are not admitted to the performances in the Arena.
