Activities Manager
As Neilson Activities Manager you will be the linchpin behind the primary reason why our guests come on holiday with us. In your teams will have many experts with in their fields led by supervisors for the beach, waterski and children’s club. It will be your responsibility to make sure the highest standards are maintained across all activity departments and the programme provided correlates with guest needs. You will oversee the training and ongoing development of all activity employees to achieve the utmost level of competence to undertake their duties. Through a passionate approach to the activities provided you’ll champion the companies vision and values, promoting a professional and positive image at all times.
Key performance areas will include: customer service, statutory management, finance management, strategic management, operations management, HR and personal effectiveness.
Whilst the role is highly diverse and often pressured, a Neilson Activities manager is a person who will take ultimate pride and satisfaction in what we provide and can deliver. They must believe that this is a truly exceptional and unmatched product that has many of our guests returning year after year, and those new to the concept pondering why they have never done it before.
To be considered for this position it is essential that you are financially astute and have a strong background in the logistics of managing a comprehensive activities programme. You’ll have previous people management experience, having managed large teams. Methodical and organised, you’ll demonstrate good reporting, time management, people and problem solving skills.
Administrator
As a Neilson Administrator, you will be the backbone of our overseas operation. Reporting into a Senior Administrator or Area manager you will be responsible for providing them with timely and accurate information and making sure that you meet all deadlines on a weekly and monthly basis.

As a Neilson Administrator, you will be the backbone of our overseas operation. Reporting into a Senior Administrator or Area manager you will be responsible for providing them with timely and accurate information and making sure that you meet all deadlines on a weekly and monthly basis.
Our resort offices are the hub of our overseas operation and you will need to be prepared to work in a sometimes very busy and pressurised environment. You will need a can do attitude with a very flexible approach to your work as you may be required to help with other tasks within the overseas operation including airport duties.
To be considered for this role you will have a proven track record within an administration field (preferably with previous overseas administration or rep experience). Have excellent knowledge of word and excel and a proven ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures. Be both numeric and accurate, ensuring that the highest quality of work is produced at all times.
You will also require the ability to work independently but be an excellent team player. Have the confidence to liaise with staff and suppliers at all levels and the initiative to make informed decisions.

Area Manager
As a Neilson Area Manager you will be responsible for every aspect of operating your own gateway within both operations and hospitality.

As a Neilson Area Manager you will be responsible for every aspect of operating your own gateway within both operations and hospitality.
You must be an excellent leader, as you will have a large team under your guidance, ranging from administrators, chalet hosts and reps, to Operations and Hospitality Supervisors. These positions will be spread over a large and varying area so you must hold exceptional communication skills in all aspects.
A strong proven track record in stringent budgeting, P&L margin reporting, ski product knowledge, yield and commercial management, resort sales of ski packs, negotiation of ex-gracia and PIR recoveries, general financial accounting and day to day administration are key to this challenging role. Many of Neilsons reporting procedures are web based so you must also hold strong computer skills and be able to learn now systems with ease.
You will be responsible for setting and monitoring KPI’s for all of your resort staff in line with KPI’s set for your gateway, ensuring that all sales and customer service targets are not just met but exceeded in all areas, bringing with you flair, innovation and a hunger for success.
This is a very challenging but rewarding role for the right individual. You must be able to think on your feet and deal with many varied issues and challenges that will occur on a regular basis, sometimes within a very pressurised environment. There will be a lot of driving involved within this role and you will be on the road visiting suppliers and your resort teams on a regular basis to ensure that both Neilson and our suppliers are offering the highest level of service possible to our customers and other suppliers alike.
Ideally you will have a good standard of language for the destination that you have applied to work in.
A passion for the snowy mountains, a willingness to succeed and a fun, energetic and positive outlook are also key to this role to ensure that you succeed.

Reporting to the Bar Supervisor you’ll work shifts to create a clean and welcoming atmosphere. During the day you’ll serve a variety of beverages, bar snacks and specialities and in the evening you’ll provide a professional bar and table beverage service.
Our bars are essential in generating revenue so there are some high targets to achieve. That’s why we’re not just looking for bar staff to pull pints but for charismatic bar tending professionals who not only provide an exceptional service but who also play a key part in driving food and beverage sales by creating tempting cocktails, recommending wines from our extensive wine list and giving our guests the ‘perfect pour’.
To apply for a bar position you must have proven bar tending experience with a good understanding of wines, beers, spirits & cocktails. You’ll be able to demonstrate the need for cleanliness, stock control and the need to record wastage and breakages. With an array of customer service experience you’ll love working behind a bar, chatting to guests and be passionate about providing a professional bar tending service. You must also be available for the full season from mid-April to early November.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager and leading by example, you’ll work shifts to create a clean and welcoming atmosphere. As a Base Mechanic you will be responsible for ensuring that all Neilson yachts are fully functional at all times. You will be required to work as part of a team to pro-actively provide Neilson guests with a holiday that exceeds their expectations.

You will take personal responsibility for the maintenance, repair and security of Neilson equipment and sites to ensure that brochure specification, guest expectations and Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
To be considered for this role you will need to have proven engineering work experience and excellent customer service skills. It would also be advantageous to have previous marine diesel engine knowledge or motor trade experience. Knowledge of 12v electric systems is essential. You also need to be first aid qualified and educated to GCSE standard.
You will need to have a can do attitude with a hand’s on approach to your work as you may be required to assist in other duties within the yacht programme. You will need to be an excellent communicator, highly self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. You will also need to be an excellent team player but with the ability to work independently.
If you wish to apply for this role please consider that you will also be required to occasionally assist in organising and hosting social events, and generally interacting with the guests on a regular basis. You will also need the stamina to work long and unsociable hours in a hot climate and be prepared to move between resorts to meet operational needs

To deliver the Neilson spa experience we require a team of highly qualified and highly trained therapists.
As a Spa & Beauty Therapist you’ll be responsible for performing spa treatments and rituals to the highest of standards in a friendly and professional manner. Displaying excellent customer awareness and service you’ll strive not only to deliver the range of treatments but also to enhance the guests overall spa experience.
Ensuring the Spa area is kept in a professional and appealing manner, you’ll drive sales for Spa and Beauty products wherever possible and manage bookings for optimal guest satisfaction and department profitability.
To apply for a Spa & Beauty Therapist position you must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. It is essential that you have proven experience in delivering a range of holistic and maintenance beauty and spa treatments. Neilson provide full training for all our therapists so there will be plenty of opportunity to learn new methods and treatments but you must be enthusiastic in your own development. A good team player you’ll be able to work under your own initiative and be committed to offered a professional and luxurious spa experience at all times. Previous experience with Elemis facial and body therapies are an advantage but not essential. You must also be available for the full season from mid-April to early November.
Chalet Host
We’ve been perfecting our chalet experience for years and we like to think we’ve got it just right but we can’t continue to do this without our fantastic Chalet Hosts. Cooking, cleaning and keep our guests entertained are just some of the daily duties you’ll carry out working in a Neilson chalet. Always willing to go that extra mile to make our guests holiday something to remember you’ll be committed to providing a home away from home environment.

We’ve been perfecting our chalet experience for years and we like to think we’ve got it just right but we can’t continue to do this without our fantastic Chalet Hosts. Cooking, cleaning and keep our guests entertained are just some of the daily duties you’ll carry out working in a Neilson chalet. Always willing to go that extra mile to make our guests holiday something to remember you’ll be committed to providing a home away from home environment.
Reporting to and with the support of resort management, you’ll either work alone or as part of small team, depending on the size of the chalet.
As a Neilson Chalet Host you’ll be naturally sociable with the ability to work under your own initiative. Able to cook scrumptious afternoon teacakes and range of 3 course meals for around 12 people within budget, you’ll also have an eye for detail in keeping the chalet spic and span whilst adhering to strict health and hygiene standards. You’ll have previous hospitality experience, excellent cooking ability and proven customer service skills.
Chef de Partie
As Chef de Partie you will provide support and assistance to the kitchen team. Under direction from the Head Chef you will assist in the timely delivery of a range of dishes in all areas of the kitchen in a professional manner.

To be considered for this role you would ideally have been in this level position before in a large hotel or are looking to take the next step in your career development. Able to work well under pressure you’ll take pride in working as part of a team to deliver fine food to Neilson guests.
You will be expected to be clean and smart at all times and adhere to both UK and the country of origin’s health and hygiene standards.

It’s hard to believe that in amongst all the activities offered on a Neilson active holiday there’s room for anything else…but there is as we also offer our guests a weekly entertainment programme including a range of both daytime and evening activities suitable for everyone including families and adults. To run this programme we need a special kind of person….a Neilson Entertainment Coordinator.
The evening entertainment you'll provide will range from a live lounge performance showcasing your singing and guitar playing talent (playing/singing modern day tunes in a relaxed environment) to organising and comparing something like a quiz or TV game show. By offering an enjoyable and exciting entertainment programme our guests will spend their time in the hotel bars which in turn will drive bar revenue so creativity, flare and excellent organisational skills are all a must.
When you’re not performing or entertaining the guests in the evening you will use your outgoing personality to host a range of daytime activities such as giant jenga, killer darts, pool competitions, water polo, beach volleyball and beach boules. As well as your musical talents you'll also need an immense amount of personality and stamina to keep the entertainment programme and our Neilson guests going week in week out.
This role’s not for the shy and reserved! You must be able to sing, play guitar and give confident solo lounge performances to a live audience of around 100 people. You must also have proven customer service experience, be a confident communicator and have bags of enthusiasm and energy. You must be available for the full season from mid-April to early November.

An active holiday wouldn’t be complete without a dedicated fitness professional in each of the Neilson Beachplus resorts. As a sociable and energetic individual you will need to work independently to organise and deliver a weekly fitness programme.

An active holiday wouldn’t be complete without a dedicated fitness professional in each of the Neilson Beachplus resorts. As a sociable and energetic individual you will need to work independently to organise and deliver a weekly fitness programme.
Your daily classes will need to be tailored specifically around the Neilson guests and their holiday.
Drawing on your skills, experience, and training to provide fun and varied classes which could range from aqua aerobics through to circuit training, sunset stretch and Zumba.
You will be required to create your sessions around the facilities and equipment available to you in the overseas resort environment, aiming to compliment the other activities available such as waterskiing and windsurfing.
We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and approachable fitness professionals who have experience instructing group sessions and hold a minimum of a level 2 qualification in exercise to music, studio instruction, fitness instruction or equivalent qualifications.
Flotilla Mate
As a Flotilla Mate you will assist your Flotilla Skipper in the safe running of the Flotilla and be responsible for the hospitality aspect of the guests stay and sail flotilla experience. You will provide excellent care and service to guests of all ages to ensure that they have a sailing holiday which exceeds their expectations.

As a Flotilla Mate you will assist your Flotilla Skipper in the safe running of the flotilla and be responsible for the hospitality aspect of the guests stay and sail flotilla experience. You will be required to provide RYA sailing instruction to guests of all ages and abilities, host social events on most evenings and provide exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring that the yachts are ready for new arrivals on each turnaround day, providing a safe and enjoyable working environment and take responsibility for company monies as and when required.
You will need to have a VHF license and be First Aid qualified. You will need previous customer service experience. Your personal sailing must be at a level where you would be confident to do a Keelboat Instructor course, which is taken before the start of the season.
Previous experience within the travel industry, working on yachts, experience of handling accounts and a Keel Boat Instructor qualification would be advantageous.
You will need to have a can do attitude and provide a hands on approach to your work since you may be required to assist in other duties within the flotilla programme. You will need to be an excellent communicator; highly self motivated and able to work on your own initiative. You will also need to be an excellent team player but with the ability to work independently.

If you are passionate about sailing and love a challenge - this is a very rewarding role. Working as part of a team, you will teach guests of different ages and abilities to sail following the RYA syllabus. In addition, you will be responsible for briefing the flotilla, managing the housekeeping and yacht maintenance and ensuring a high standard of safety is maintained for both guests and staff.
You will also be required to maintain effective communication and good working relationships with the Yacht Manager, UK staff and local suppliers. You will assist with training of staff and identify opportunities for coaching and developing the lead crew. You will also manage the spending and accounts to agreed budgets.
To be considered for this role you will need to have a qualification within the cruising instructor scheme (Yacht Master/Day Skipper), have a VHF license and be first aid qualified. You will have worked in customer service roles previously, have experience of skippering yachts and work experience in a leadership role. Previous experience within the travel industry, of handling money/ accounts and a Keel Boat Instructor qualification would be advantageous.
You will need to have a can-do attitude and be flexible to operational requirements, which may involve assisting in other duties within the flotilla programme and varying hours of work. As a Food and Beverage Manager you’ll to oversee the running of the food and beverage departments reporting directly into the General Manager. Our BeachPlus hotels have multiple Food and Beverage outlets including in & outside dining areas, various bars and busy kitchens (restaurant and snack). You’ll have an eye for detail and the ability to train staff to deliver consistency in service delivery whilst maximising the guest experience in all areas of Food and Beverage.
To be considered for a Food & Beverage Manager position it is essential you are able to demonstrate a high standard of F&B experience, good financial awareness and previous experience maximising F&B sales and minimising costs. A strong motivator with a professional attitude, you’ll have excellent people management & delegation skills and be committed to delivering a first class food and beverage service to our guests.

Be willing to work long hours, sometimes under a lot of pressure, whilst ensuring that your team is constantly motivated and delivering the highest standards to our guests.
Your duties will include rep duties as outlined in the ski representative job description, liaising with suppliers, staff rota’s, assisting with the running of the airport, monitoring and controlling all monies taken in your area, training and development of staff, report writing and financial paperwork. It will be your job to organize and run the weekly biking programme to cater for complete novices who might just want to stretch their legs on an evening, through to hardcore riders who have come on a biking specific holiday.
On the first morning you will need to deliver an informative and enthusiastic welcome brief to the guest detailing how the biking programme works in resort.
With a minimum of two guided rides a day ranging from a meander into the local village to full day rides involving big hill climbs in Mediterranean heat and off road technical down hill you will need to be at the peak of your fitness. You will have to use your creative skills to compile a selection of route cards to give to guests who wish to go free riding and explore the local area themselves.
When you are not guiding rides you will spend your time maintaining the fleet of bikes to keep them in good working order and ensuring that supplies to carry out repairs are replenished.
Whilst an incredibly challenging role a Neilson bike guide is the person that gets the most out of exploring a new country and finding those secret undiscovered locations.

This is a very varied role and involves all types of property maintenance within many different properties.

You’ll assist and deliver a fully comprehensive training package to all new and retained ski reps, ensuring that the highest standards are delivered, in accordance with Company guidelines and procedures. You’ll monitor and develop your in resort teams through regular people development reviews, objectives and weekly feedback to ensure that both optimum sales are achieved and excellent customer service is delivered to our guests at all times.

Leading by example, you will assist the Head Chef in building a professional, efficient and enjoyable kitchen environment. You will help motivate the team to produce a consistently high quality meal service in both buffet and A la Carte styles. You will have proven experience in all areas of food preparation, design and HACCP requirements.
You will also be expected to demonstrate a passion to learn and to take ownership of all jobs given; these must be done to the best of your ability and be done to Neilson standards.
There’s a great camaraderie in our Neilson kitchens but you’ll be expected to work in a very hot, fast paced and pressurized environment. This can be very challenging but is also very rewarding.
To be considered for this role you would ideally have been in this level of position before in a large hotel or are looking to take the next step in your career development. Able to work well under pressure you’ll take pride in working as part of a team to deliver fine food to Neilson guests.
You will be expected to be clean and smart at all times and adhere to both UK and the country of origin’s health and hygiene standards.

- To regularly visit resort hotels to ensure that guest holiday expectations are exceeded in all resorts
- Be both numerate and accurate, ensuring that the highest quality of work is produced
- Be able to work under pressure and on your own initiative, sometimes in very demanding conditions and with long hours
- To plan your time to ensure that all tasks are carried out on a daily basis and have a ‘hands on’ approach to all aspects of the role.
- To collect completed CSQ’s and Premier Club requests from customers at a level agreed by your line manager
- To complete all paperwork accurately, legibly and in accordance with deadlines and targets set by your line manager
- Provide your line manager with timely and accurate information
- Have a calm, fun, energetic and positive outlook, and a willingness to ‘muck in’ and work hard
- To gather, display and constantly update information about the resort and local area informing relevant staff of any changes that may occur.
- To co-ordinate arrival and departure taxi transfers for customers ensuring information is accurate and given both to the transport companies and reps in good time. This will vary from resort to resort and in some instances will be coordinated in conjunction with the resort office.
- To follow the company procedures as set out in the finance manual for processing and recording all financial transactions such as ticket sales and expenses. This will include the use of Neilson eforms to record and report on your sales figures.
- To carry out any other duties that help with the smooth running of overseas operations as directed by your line manager
- To demonstrate an excellent overall knowledge of STS and Neilson products and actively cross sell our holidays to all guests
In return STS offers a competitive monthly salary, commission for excursions and tickets sold in resort and free first class travel over the whole of Switzerland. The summer season runs from May until the end of September with positions available in the most popular resorts in the program.

If you are a qualified Tennis Coach what better way to spend your summer than out on court everyday in the sunshine. As a Neilson Tennis Coach you need to be confident to work alone or in a small team to organise and deliver a weekly tennis programme, which caters for all guest ages and abilities, incorporating both group coaching, private lessons, and free play sessions.
The start of the week assessment will enable you to match the guests into groups and give you the opportunity to really get to know your tennis enthusiasts for that week. The daily coaching sessions will allow you to impart you knowledge and enthusiasm for the game with the guests ending the week with you organising an informal and sociable tennis tournament.
You will also need to design sessions specifically for our variety of children’s clubs with the emphasis on fun as well as learning key skills.
We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and approachable tennis professionals who have experience coaching group sessions with both adults and children and holds at minimum LTA Level 2 qualification or equivalent, plus a first aid certificate.

As well as waiting on tables, our restaurant staff are essential to providing the excellent service and customer relations that our Neilson guests have come to know and love.
You’ll provide a high level of service for all meal times in buffet and a la carte restaurants providing all service styles, including wine service, tray and table service. As part of a motivated team you’ll be key in creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurants. You’ll also play your part in driving sales for food and beverage products whenever possible and will be expected to know our wine and cocktails lists, and snack bar and bistro menus in order to make educated recommendations to our guests during meal times. We’ll train you in all these areas, but you have to have the willingness to learn and the character to put it in to practice.
To join our restaurant team you must have worked in a hospitality role before in a hotel, restaurant, café or coffee shop. You’ll be able to carry 3 plates and drinks trays with ease and have proven customer service experience.
Waterski/Wakeboard Instructor
As a qualified Waterski/Wakeboard Instructor you will need to be incredibly patient and be confident to cater for guests of all ages and abilities following the British Water Ski Federation syllabus and Neilson standards.

Working on the ski pontoon as part of a close team to provide a Waterski and Wakeboard programme is a great way to spend your summer - working on the water whilst instructing in a sport you are passionate about.
As a qualified instructor you will need to be incredibly patient and be confident to cater for guests of all ages and abilities following the British Water Ski Federation syllabus and Neilson standards.
Often with early morning starts to take advantage of the flatter waters you will rotate responsibilities of driving, spotting, instructing and running the pontoon throughout the day.
Watersports Instructor
Whether you love that feeling of planning out of a carve gybe or hanging out on a wire, the passion you show for the sport you teach is key. As a qualified RYA Watersports Instructor you will work within a close team to deliver an activity programme to adults and children both on and off the water following the RYA syllabus.

Whether you love that feeling of planning out of a carve gybe or hanging out on a wire, the passion you show for the sport you teach is key. As a qualified RYA Watersports Instructor you will work within a close team to deliver an activity programme to adults and children both on and off the water following the RYA syllabus.
Often a physically demanding role which involves carrying, rigging and lifting you will rotate responsibilities of instructing, safety cover, working the beach, being on rescue, and facilitating children’s clubs throughout the day.
We are really hot on getting our children’s clubs out on the water having fun so part of your role will be to actively help organise and run activities for children over 5 years. When the weather is bad and people are not able to go out on the water you will need to help create alternative activities and entertainment to amuse the guests.
This is a hugely rewarding role whether you are teaching a beginner dinghy group to successfully navigate around a triangle course, or you get a group of intermediate windsurfers planning, there is no doubt you will get great amount of personal satisfaction seeing your guests achieve their goals.
If you would like to apply for this role you will need to have at minimum an RYA instructors qualification in either Dinghy or Windsurfing, hold a valid first aid certificate, have an approachable and friendly attitude, ability to work on your own and be flexible in your job role, willing to assist in any other duties and if necessary be prepared to move between different resorts according to operation all need.

You'll continue to nurture excellent business relationships with local suppliers, and actively seek out new suppliers and ensure all warranty issues are followed up and costs covered.
Coaching and supporting shorebased & flotilla engineers you'll also monitor CSQ results regarding yacht maintenance and presentation.

As a Yacht Trainer you will be responsible for the delivery of sailing instruction and for providing excellent customer care to our Neilson guests to ensure they have a successful holiday.
Working as part of a team, you will teach sailing to guests of all ages and abilities following the RYA syllabus and Neilson programme, ensuring all guests obtain appropriate developmental skills.You will need to organise and host social events, deliver briefings and interact with guests throughout their holiday.
To be considered for this role you will need to have a VHF license, and be First Aid qualified. You will have previous customer service experience and experience of sailing yachts. Previous experience within the travel industry, additional water-sports skills or qualifications, and an RYA Keel Boat Instructor qualification would be advantageous.
You will need to have a can-do attitude with a hands on approach to your work as you may be required to assist in other duties within the flotilla programme. You will need to be an excellent communicator, highly self motivated and able to work on your own initiative. You will also need to be an excellent team player but with the ability to work independently.
