All clinics will be run by Sam Ross, one of the UK’s leading watersports coaches and one of the most qualified and experienced windsurf coaches in the country.
Sam started his career with us as a windsurf instructor and has worked in a number of our resorts for many years prior to starting his current career as a trainer.
When Sam comes out to resort he is there just to look after the guests on the clinic, so expect as much support and tuition as you can manage during your stay. With sessions running every morning and afternoon you can expect to go away having progressed, had a huge amount of time on the water and an awesome amount of fun.
The intermediate week is all about gaining speed, but also control. Improving stance and harness work, as well to get fully planing and into the foot straps. You'll also be looking at how to improve tacks and gybes on smaller boards and in a bit more wind, plus beach starts and waterstarts.
To benefit from this clinic you'll need to be able to sail comfortably on all points of sail and have some experience using a harness. Check out this video from Sam for a taster of the skills you’ll be covering on this clinic.
The intermediate windsurfing clinic dates and location for 2022 is still to be confirmed. Check back here for details. There is a maximum of ten places and the cost is £200 per person.
Hydrofoil windsurfing is nothing new, but advances in technology have brought this windsurfing discipline on in leaps and bounds. Sam has taken to WindFoiling in a big way and his clinic ‘Flight Club’ is all about taking off! The entire week is focussed on WindFoiling and Sam will take you through the setup, skills and techniques you need to get your first flight, work towards sustained flights and even try some aerial manoeuvres. The clinic is open to all levels of foiler, but to join this clinic you’ll need to be very comfortable and confident in both foot strap positions, set up in an outboard position.
