Kitzbühel and Kirchberg Information
Ski Kitzbühel for one of the most legendary ski runs in the world; The Hahnenkamm. Intermediates and advanced will love this area for it’s challenging runs ending with the infamous World Cup run. Beginners and families aren’t left out, as both Kitzbühel and Kirchberg, ski holidays are well-suited thanks to attentive ski schools and a host of après-ski activities. Both villages offer classic Austrian charm and hospitality and a memorable holiday experience.
Kirchberg - Kitzbühel’s skiing at lower prices 237 Situated 6km along the valley & sharing the same ski area as its more famous neighbour, lies the less well known village of Kircberg. While it does not claim to have the sophistication & glamour of Kitzbühel, it does generally have lower prices, a more easy-going, friendlier atmosphere, a selection of bars, restaurants & every day shops, all centred around its towering church. It attracts a slightly younger crowd, which in turn, produces surprisingly lively nightlife in selected bars & clubs. Several lifts serve the Kitzbühel ski area along the valley, not the most convenient access but weighed against the holiday price it’s probably worth it. Beginners can feel a bit isolated on the nursery slopes in the Gaisberg area on the other side of town – so not ideal for first timers.
