Maria Alm Ski Holidays, Austria
A classic, chocolate box village surrounded by a ski area
catering for all abilities.
Maria Alm Information
Maria Alm is traditional, picturesque and set in the extensive Hochkönig ski area with an impressive 150kms ofslopes and a variety of terrain from gentle nursery slopes in the village to numerous challenging tree-lined runs. Every element of your holiday blends perfectly together here: the beautiful mountain ranges, the natural charm of Austrian village life, unrivalled hospitality and delicious cuisine in some of the best mountain restaurants we’ve come across.
Maria Alm For Beginners & Intermediates
Snowsure Beginner Slopes - There are two ski areas for beginners, one area in the village centre and the other, where most guests opt for, at the middle station of the Aberg gondola. Here, snow reliability is assured right the way through the season. Don’t forget to pre-book your Beginner Skier’s or Snowboarder’s Packs - they include a lift pass, equipment and tuition and represent a saving on booking the items individually.
Ideal Cruising Slopes - A 150km network of pistes cover several mountains east of Maria Alm to Mühlbach, allowing skiers and boarders to really cover some mileage on the many blue and red runs. For those who call for frequent stops between runs, the ski area has no less than 37 mountain huts and restaurants ensuring a hot chocolate or schnapps is never too far away. With a ski area larger than many well-known Austrian resorts, we’ve found a hidden gem for intermediates.
What's Happening?
Nestled amidst a green, pristine natural setting, Maria Alm is a lovely traditional resort with plenty to offer both on and off the slopes. Why not try one of the turbo skidoos, toboggan rides or have a great night out in the nearby Zell Am See??
