Saalbach / Hinterglemm activities
Saalbach is an attractive village, where traditional-style buildings
are huddled around a classic-looking Austrian church. The traffic-free
main streets have plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to satisfy a
week’s stay. Après-ski is buzzing straight off the slopes and later on
several bars and clubs provide entertainment. Hinterglemm is also
picturesque with a pedestrianised main street lined with bars and
restaurants. It has a good atmosphere in the evenings, but is a little
less lively than its neighbour Saalbach, which can be visited via the
nightbus running between both resorts.
Floodlit Tobogganing
Gliding
down a floodlit toboggan track is great fun. It’s a great way to end a
full day’s skiing. Saalbach and Hinterglemm have four floodlit toboggan
runs between them so you can make the most of your day and still fit in
some evening fun.
Ski out of your Comfort Zone
Are you
comfortable on blues and can tackle reds but never leave your comfort
zone? During the intermediate stage, it’s easy to get stuck in a rut.
This is when opting for some specialist tuition really pays off.
The
Ski & Snowboard Academy offers intermediate-tailored one or two day
courses in small groups of 3-6 people where you can benefit from
specialist instruction such as carving, off-piste or freestyle
techniques. Private one-on-one lessons are also available.
Lessons can be booked through Neilson on arrival, are subject to minimum numbers, weather and snow conditions.
See your Rep in resort for more details or to book any apres ski or activities!
