Åre activities
Traditional and attractive, Åre village offers quaint shops and great
restaurants, while Årebjornen and Duved are much smaller with a couple
of bars and restaurants and a supermarket. Tegefjall has a small
convenience store, bar and ski shop. Nightlife, known as ‘after ski’ in
Sweden, tends to be quite low key and relaxed during the week but at
weekends, Åre village really livens up and offers a good choice of bars
and nightclubs whether it’s cocktails or live bands you’re looking for.
All four bases offer a superb range of non-ski winter activities.
With the three distinct resort hubs, each with a different flavour, you can pick whether you want to stay in the party centre of the North - Åre village with its 50+ restaurants and bars; the magic bear filled forest of Åre Björnen; or the quieter hinterland of unspoiled Duved. You’ll find all types of people and activities here, Åre really does offer a little bit of everything in addition to its awesome slopes!
