Our biggest ever beachclub sale
Wherever you are, the hillside setting ensures you'll always be able to catch views of the shimmering turquoise waters of the Ionian and wooded islands in the bay.
A collection of beaches forms the edge of the water sports area and a sand bar in the shallow water leads to the sailing beach on 'Goat Island' opposite the beachclub.
Built on a hillside, the rooms, bar and restaurant are perched high above the Ionian. There's lots of steps, so make sure you have what you need before heading to the beach!
Whilst we would not recommend the Retreat to thrill-seeking sailors and windsurfers, the sheltered, flat water is pretty special for other water sports, especially water skiing, wakeboarding and wakesurfing.
There's a water sport for everyone and it's all included! Take your pick from water skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, dinghy sailing and windsurfing.
This is one of our most popular beachclubs for water skiing and wakeboarding and it's easy to see why. The bay is sheltered and the water is nice and flat, so there's no excuse not to get out there and give it a go. We include up to two free tows per person per week with upgrade packs available from £150 per person. For a small supplement you can also have a go at wakesurfing, a new activity for 2018.
The Retreat Beachclub is a perfect teaching and learning environment, and we offer two short kayaking courses from the British Canoe Union (BCU). Kayakers and stand up paddle boarders will love exploring the small offshore islands, caves and rocky coastline under their own steam.
The sheltered water and light wind means that dinghy sailing and windsurfing is really only suitable for beginners and improvers, with free RYA tuition if needed. If you're looking for a day to remember, then for a little extra you can book a day yacht with skipper to explore the Ionian coastline.
Windsurfing: a range of beginner and intermediate (160-130 litres) boards from manufacturers Starboard, Fanatic and RRD. Dino rigs for children (2m-4.5m); start rigs for beginners (2.5m / 3.5m / 4.5m); adult rigs (4m - 8.2m)
Dinghy sailing: Laser Pico; Laser 1; Laser 2000; Laser Dart 16; Hartley Wayfarer.
Water skiing, wakeboarding and wakesurfing: Ski Nautique 196, 206 and 211 with a range of skis, boards, mono skis, wakesurfing boards and wake skates.
Kayak and stand up paddle boarding: Gemini single and double sit on top kayaks; closed cockpit kayaks; sea kayaks; Canadian canoes; Red Paddle Co stand up paddle boards (10'8") and XXL stand up paddle board (8 man).
The typical wind force ranges from 1-2 all season, ideal for beginners to dinghy sailing and windsurfing, although intermediate sailors will rarely be challenged.
We include mountain biking, road cycling, tennis with coaching and a range of fitness classes in your holiday to Retreat Beachclub.
Surrounded by rolling hillside, it's a biker's paradise. There's rocky tracks, green valleys, steep climbs, wonderful views, coastal tracks and technical single track – something for just about everybody. If road riding is your thing, there are some great long rides, how does 80km of rolling coastal road sound? It's a round trip to Parga with inland climbs and long descents.
The Retreat is one of our best clubs for biking, you can pre-book a premium bike and you'll also get a greater variety and greater number of rides with more guides.
There are four astro and hard tennis courts with plenty of coaching from the tennis team. If you've got the energy for more, have a go at some of the fitness classes. You can take your pick from circuits, yoga based stretch, running, HIIT and much more.
There's also a small gym, volleyball court and table tennis.
Mountain bikes: TREK X Caliber 9 in a range of sizes (15”, 17”, 19”, 21”).
Road bikes: TREK Emonda ALR 4 in a range of sizes (47cm to 60cm).
Premium bikes: TREK Fuel EX8 full-suspension trail bikes (17”, 18”, 19”, 21”) and TREK Emonda S6 carbon fibre road bikes (54cm, 56cm, 58cm, 60cm) are available to reserve for your exclusive use throughout your holiday, with custom set-up and routes available in resort to be uploaded to your Garmin upon request, all for just £95 per person, per week.
If you've got cycling shoes with cleats and are planning on bringing them with you, we advise that you should also bring your own pedals. That way, they are guaranteed to fit.
Tennis: a selection of adult and child rackets from Babolat.
Add some time sailing the coastline of the northern Ionian to your next beachclub holiday. The great thing about a stay and sail holiday is not only the week spent at the Retreat Beachclub, but also your chance to experience the thrill of sailing. You'll be sailing on the second week of your holiday, visiting places such as the islands of Corfu and Paxos. What's more, you really don't have to be a sailor, there's a course to teach you everything you need to know.

Your holiday to the Retreat Beachclub includes club board meals; that's breakfast and lunch every day plus four evening meals per week. As with all other areas of the beachclub, the views from the restaurant and pool bar are lovely. The pool bar is a good meeting point and is always lively with people chatting about the day over a coffee, cocktail or beer.
Your inclusive evening meals are on the following days:
The rooms are light and bright, all have a balcony or terrace and most have great views over the Ionian Sea. Garden rooms are shady and peaceful, while hotel rooms are located closer to the restaurant. There are also some premium rooms; built recently, they have a contemporary design with modern furnishings.
Choose from twin, double, triple, family or interconnecting rooms. Each has shower, air conditioning, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone, TV, safe, hairdryer and beach towels. There is free Wi-Fi in the public areas and in most of the rooms.
Tourist taxes are payable by you when you check out of your beachclub accommodation. Charges vary by destination and are currently between €1.50- €4 per room per night (prices correct as of March 2018 and subject to change). Taxes for children are age dependent . To find out the most up to date tourist taxes for this beachclub please contact us.
There's lots of steps at the Retreat, so bear this in mind if you're travelling with babies and toddlers. The beaches are sandy and children will love the warm, shallow water. There's also a small pool just for children and a good choice of rooms for families, including interconnecting and premium rooms.
Of course, you'll also get the full range of action packed kids' clubs for children from two, all the way through to 17 years. For babies, there's the Starfish crèche (available for a supplement). Make sure your children don't miss out, pre-book before you go to secure a space in the club they want.
If you're a family travelling with babies or toddlers don't forget to ask about cots, baby baths and push chairs. There's even a 24-hour baby room, where you can make feeds, warm milk and sterilise bottles.
You'll love this lovely part of mainland Greece. The small village of Sivota is a 10-minute walk (heading home is uphill, so may take a little longer!). There's a laid back atmosphere with a great choice of bars and restaurants. Take a walk along the harbour front where you'll see visiting yachts and the local fishing boats bobbing about.
Parga is close by, a little more touristy than Sivota, but still worth a visit. As well as a 14th century Venetian castle, it's got some great restaurants, cafés and shops. We organise a coach trip to Parga on one of the non-inclusive evenings.
Further afield, boat trips are available to Paxos and Antipaxos. Gaios on Paxos is an exquisite miniature world, with quaint 19th century houses lining narrow, cobbled lanes. The smaller island of Antipaxos is equally special with beautiful remote beaches and little coves.
Take a day sail on a skippered Neilson yacht. Drink in the magical coastline, while relaxing in the warm breeze on deck. Let us sail you to secluded bays where you can swim or snorkel in the crystal clear water. Alternatively, sail into the sunset, sipping bubbles as the sun sinks below the horizon; enjoy the romance of the evening on a sunset cruise. This is definitely the climax to a wonderful day.
