Job Title: Bar Person

Department: Neilson Beach Club

Location: Overseas

Travel Factors: Six months overseas

Reports to: Bar Manager/Hospitality Manager

Job Role Summary

To deliver a professional, enthusiastic and efficient service within the food & beverage areas of the operation. With a confident and outgoing personality, work in a productive manner at all times within the team, or individually ensuring the delivery of profitable and guest orientated service.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

To deliver efficient beverage service to guest in a friendly and professional manner for bar and table service.

To display excellent customer service and awareness at all times

To reconcile and account for all sales during working shifts to the company standards

To ensure the bar area is stocked to a sufficient level at all times to provide efficient service

To monitor and record any wastage or breakages inline with company procedures

To maintain the highest level of cleanliness at all times

To drive sales for food and beverage products whenever possible

To develop positive working relationships within all the teams of the operation

Demonstrate an excellent overall knowledge of Neilson products and pro-actively cross sell our holidays to all Neilson guests.

To ensure that all procedures put in place to prevent the loss of stocks/revenue are adhered to

To ensure that all food and beverages are accounted for

To carry out other duties that help with the smooth running of overseas operations as directed by a member of the Management Team

Qualifications and experience required:

Previous experience in hospitality and customer service

Proven supervisory/staff management experience

Experience in similar standard and size operation of at least 6 months

Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent

Comfortable with cashing up and accounting for daily takings

Computer literate and capable of learning new programs/ procedures quickly and accurately

A formal hospitality qualification and/ or dedicated beverage course (desirable)

Experience of work overseas and ski or boarding experience (desirable)

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

Be a positive and effective communicator within the team and with a range of guests

Good knowledge of beverage service, brands, products and cocktails

To display constant high levels of service and maintain Neilson standards

Able to work on own initiative under pressure and follow written and verbal instructions.

Be flexible with work hours and be willing to assist in all areas of the operation.

Proven experience in a sales environment in the F&B industry (Desirable)
