Reports to: Flotilla Skipper/Yacht Supervisor

Job Role Summary

To take ownership of the hospitality aspect of guests stay and sail and flotilla experience, providing excellent care and service to child and adult guests, according to agreed company standards, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Organise and host social events on most evenings, inform guests of such events and generally interact with guests on a regular basis.

Take personal responsibility for handling company money, as required.

To ensure yachts are ready for new arrivals each turn around day.

Work as part of a team to pro-actively provide assistance to all guests using the yachts each day.

Assist in providing a safe and enjoyable working environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to, for both staff and guests.

Assist in the maintenance, repair and security of Neilson equipment and the satisfactory appearance of Neilson sites to ensure the meeting of brochure specifications and guest’s expectations.

Be prepared to move between different resorts according to operational needs and to fulfil your contracted end date.

Be flexible in your job role and willing to assist in all other duties within reason as requested by your manager or skipper.

These are the main accountabilities however these may vary according to your resort.

Qualifications and Experience required

First Aid certificate valid for the duration of the contract.

Educated to GCSE standard.

Previous customer service experience.

Day Skipper practical or equivalent sailing experience.

International Certificate of Competence desirable but not essential.

VHF license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required

Experience of handling yachts.

Experience of working as part of a small team.

Presentation

Clean and tidy appearance.

Personal Qualities

Approachable, welcoming, friendly, and enthusiastic.

Able to communicate well with guests and staff of all ages.

Self-motivated.

Flexible.

Punctual.

Organised.
