Job Title: Waiting Person

Department: Neilson Beach Club

Location: Overseas

Travel Factors: Six months overseas

Reports to: Restaurant Manager/ Hospitality Manager

Job Role Summary

Working as part of a motivated team, you will provide constant levels of excellent service and customer relations to all guests. With a friendly, professional, and outgoing personality, you will help to drive sales within the food & beverage areas of the operation.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

To provide service to the required operational standard at all meal times in buffet and A la Carte restaurant styles of service

To be approachable and friendly at all times to guests and maintain a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurants

To be proficient at all service styles, including wine service, tray and table service

To maintain the highest levels of personal presentation and hygiene

To be confident and capable to relate to all guest types and in all situations

To be able to meet sales and service targets

To drive sales for food and beverage products whenever possible

To develop positive working relationships within all the teams of the operation

Demonstrate an excellent overall knowledge of Neilson products and pro-actively cross sell our holidays to all Neilson guests

To ensure that all procedures put in place to prevent the loss of stocks/revenue are adhered to

To carry out other duties that help with the smooth running of overseas operations as directed by a member of the Management team.

Qualifications and experience required:

Previous experience in hospitality and customer service

Experience in similar standard and size operation of at least 6 months

Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent

Computer literate and capable of learning new programs/ procedures quickly and accurately

Numerical aptitude and experience of cashing up daily takings

A formal hospitality qualification and/ or dedicated beverage course (desirable)

Experience of work overseas and ski or boarding experience (desirable)

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

Be a positive and effective communicator within the team and with a range of guests

Good knowledge in customer service and of food and beverage service

Display constant high levels of service and maintain Neilson standards

Ability to work well within a result orientated team and maintains effective working relationships.

Able to work on own initiative under pressure and follow written and verbal instructions.

Be flexible with work hours and be willing to assist in all areas of the operation.

Proven experience in a sales environment in the F&B industry (Desirable)
