Job Role Summary

To deliver sailing instruction and provide excellent care and service to child and adult guests according to agreed Company and RYA standards, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Working as part of a team to teach Days Skipper and Competent Crew courses to guests of all ages and abilities (within reason) following both the RYA syllabus and Neilson Programme.

Work as part of a team to pro-actively provide assistance to all guests using the yachts each day.

Assist in providing a safe and enjoyable working environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to, for both staff and guests.

Take personal responsibility for the maintenance, repair and security of Neilson yachts and equipment to ensure the meeting of brochure specifications and guest expectations.

Organise and host social events, deliver briefings and generally interact with guests at all times.

Be prepared to move between different resorts according to operational needs and to fulfil your contracted end date.

Be flexible in your job role and willing to assist in all other duties within reason as requested by your manager.

These are the main accountabilities however these may vary according to your resort.

Qualifications and Experience required

RYA Cruising Instructor.

First Aid certificate valid for the duration of the contract.

Educated to GCSE standard.

Previous customer service experience.

VHF license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required

Experience of working as part of a small team.

Presentation

Clean and tidy appearance.

Personal Qualities

Approachable, welcoming, friendly, and enthusiastic.

Able to communicate well with guests and staff of all ages.

Self-motivated.

Flexible.

Punctual.

Organised.
