Job Role Summary

To provide high quality hospitality services to our guests in Neilson run hotels, ensuring expected high standards are maintained. This role requires a flexible approach and the ability to assist in all areas of the operation

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

To maintain a welcoming and comfortable environment in the hotel, going above and beyond guest’s expectations.

To assist the Hotel Chef in the preparation and service of a cooked and continental breakfast, and afternoon tea on a daily basis, plus a three course evening meal six days a week.

Clean and maintain the hotel in accordance with Company standards and guidelines on a daily, weekly and seasonal basis.

To deliver efficient beverage service to guests in a friendly and professional manner for bar and table service.

To provide service to the required operation standards for meal times in buffet and A la Carte restaurant styles

To ensure that the hotel environment is a safe and secure one in which to work and stay and that all Company Health and Safety procedures are implemented.

To act as a Neilson ambassador at all times, both in the hotel and around resort, providing information and assistance where necessary.

To carry out other duties that help with the smooth running of overseas operations as directed by the line manager in resort, such as assisting with luggage, assisting with ski fit and clearing snow.

Qualifications and experience required:

Previous customer service and hospitality experience, preferably in a hotel environment.

Numerical aptitude.

Experience of work overseas desirable.

Skiing or Snowboarding experience desirable.

Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent planning and organisation skills.

Able to work under pressure.

Ability to work well within a team and maintain effective working relationships.

Able to work on own initiative and follow written and verbal instructions.
