The Casale is incredibly popular with our guests as it's a nice mix of a traditional chalet but with the size and facilities (ie a bar) of a small hotel. This creates a nice buzz around the chalet at après-ski when the bar is open and the drinks are flowing.
Like its sister chalet next door, the Motxo (pronounced mot-show), the Casale has been lovingly converted from an old barn. Many of the original beams have been kept which gives a wonderful warm feel to the place.

About the resort
El Tarter is part of the massive 210km Grandvalira ski area. The snow conditions are good throughout the season (obviously warmer in spring) but you'll often see amazing snow in Andorra when the rest of Europe is struggling.
It's also home to one of the best ski schools in Europe too. They'll transform nervous beginners into confident improvers in no time. The speedy and advanced can also choose from a range of classes and clinics to push skills to the limit.
El Tarter is a really laid-back mountain town. Après is low-key with a few bars to choose from. L'Aberset bar straight off the slopes is pretty lively until about 8pm. Or head to the hotel's own bar to carry on the party feel.
Not only is El Tarter a good choice for all levels of skier and snowboarder, the resort lends itself to those looking to enjoy a more chilled-out week.

Our chalet board basis is designed for skiers and boarders. Breakfast is a fairly extensive affair with cooked and continental options every day. Your daily afternoon tea of freshly baked cakes and biscuits will be waiting for you when you come in from the slopes.
Evening meals are a three-course set-menu with regionally inspired dishes and free-flowing wine throughout the week, all followed by fresh coffee.
We provide evening meals on six nights a week to leave you free to head out and explore the resort on one evening. For shorter holidays over New Year 2016/17, you still have one night free to explore the resort and local cuisine.
The chalet sleeps 38 people in 19 large, light and simply furnished twin rooms. Each has its own ensuite with a shower and wc.
