This hotel is quite unique within Zell as it's located right on the slopes for ski-in ski-out convenience and next to the Schmittenhöhe and Sonnenalm gondolas. It's an ideal choice for all as the owners certainly haven't scrimped on the facilities!

If you're looking for a family friendly holiday, you can't go wrong at the Hotel Alpine Resort as there's free hotel-run childcare in the evenings, babysitting, kids' menus and an indoor play area to help keep little ones happy.

For relaxation, try out the indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Or have a relaxing drink on the sun terrace, or a glass of wine at the après-ski bar.

And don't forget to take your holiday read and spend an hour or two in the reading room. It has its own small library, so don't worry if you do forget! And when you do head back out onto the mountain, use the heated ski room with private lockers to gain direct access onto the piste.

About the resort

With lively nightlife, picturesque scenery and great skiing for all levels, Zell am See is one of Austria's best loved lakeside resorts. On the mountain, it has a nice mix of runs that are perfect for complete beginners to the advanced. It's a fairly large ski area as well with 138kms of runs with great snow conditions.

Head over to Kaprun (15 to 20mins away by bus) and you'll have guaranteed snow on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. A trip there is covered on your Zell lift pass too.

When you're not exploring the area, head into the Old Town and you'll be absolutely charmed by its magical medieval setting. The town is awash with cafés, bars and restaurants suiting all different budgets and tastes. Après starts on the mountain at around 3pm, the Berghotel is a good place to kick off!
