About the resort
With lively nightlife, picturesque scenery and great skiing for all levels, Zell am See is one of Austria's best loved lakeside resorts. On the mountain, it has a nice mix of runs that are perfect for complete beginners to the advanced. It's a fairly large ski area as well with 138km of runs with great snow conditions.
Head over to Kaprun (15 to 20mins away by bus) and you'll have guaranteed snow on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. A trip there is covered on your Zell lift pass too, bt transport isn't.
When you're not exploring the area, head into the Old Town and you'll be absolutely charmed by its magical medieval setting. The town is awash with cafés, bars and restaurants suiting all different budgets and tastes. Après starts on the mountain at around 3pm, the Berghotel is a good place to kick off!

Rest and relaxation
All guests have free use of the 600m2 wellness area with its indoor pool, heated covered outdoor pool, two saunas, steam room, hot tub and fitness room. You can also book in a massage or beauty treatment if you need some additional pampering. These aren't free though unfortunately!
Food and drink
The Hotel Neue Post does half board meals, so expect a delicious and varied breakfast buffet waiting for you when you wake up in the morning.
When you make it back from the slopes, enjoy free après-ski snacks before sitting down to a four-course meal complete with salad buffet and a choice of three main dishes, including a veggie option. At Christmas and New Year the meals come complete with live music to entertain you.
There's a great choice of rooms here. Standard Austrian twin rooms are perfectly fine for two people, while ‘Superior' rooms and ‘Grande' rooms can take up to three and four people, respectively. The ‘Two Room' suites sleep from two to five people and have a regular bedroom plus a separate room with a double sofa bed.
Each of the 65 rooms and suites have cable TV, hairdryers, bathrobes, a bath or shower and convenient tea & coffee-making facilities.
