Summer 2021 now on sale
You’ll find Alana Beachclub in a beautiful spot between the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea and the towering peaks of the Paklenica National Park. The central tower is a local landmark, easy to spot, standing proudly over the pine trees and gardens. It has a fabulous roof-top cocktail bar with stunning, panoramic views out to sea and is a great place to watch the sunset.
All cabins, bedrooms and bathrooms have a stylish, contemporary feel. There's also a 50m heated swimming pool, freeform pool, splash pool and beach bar.
Alana Beachclub is just great for all the usual inclusive Neilson activities with a large sailing bay for water sports and six tennis courts. There's also a climbing wall at the beachclub, or you can go rock climbing in the national park.
As always, the Neilson activity and childcare team are there to look after your every need, whilst our Croatian partners 'Bluesun' run the hotel and hospitality side.
The usual water sports are included at Alana Beachclub; choose from sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, water skiing and wakeboarding. And for a little extra, you can also have a go at wakesurfing.
Launch from the pebble beach into the large bay. With very few other water users, it’s yours to enjoy to the max. Most afternoons there’s a good cross on-shore breeze, beginner and intermediate dinghy sailors and windsurfers will be in their element.
Grab a stand up paddle board or kayak and glide along the coastline of the clear blue Adriatic, the ever-present mountains of the national park are always in view. If water skiing, wakeboarding or wakesurfing is more your thing, you’ll love the large bay and super flat mornings.
Windsurfing: a range of beginner, intermediate (160-130 litres) and shortboards from manufacturers Starboard, Fanatic and RRD. Dino rigs for children (2m-4.5m); start rigs for beginners (2.5m / 3.5m / 4.5m); adult rigs (4m - 8.2m)
Dinghy sailing: Laser Pico; Laser 1; Laser Argo; Laser Dart 16; Laser Bahia; Topper Topaz 14
Water skiing, wakeboarding and wakesurfing: Ski Star ski boats and a range of skis, boards, mono skis, wake skates and wakesurfing boards.
Kayaking and stand up paddle boarding: Gemini single and double sit on top kayaks; wave kayaks; Red Paddle Co stand up paddle boards (10'8") and XXL stand up paddle board (8 person).
The wind typically picks up in the afternoons, blowing cross on-shore most days. The typical wind force ranges from 2-3 (occasionally 3-4) with the most consistent conditions in June, July and August.
The climbing wall with instruction is an inclusive activity. If that gives you a thirst for more and you really want to get the adrenaline pumping, for a little extra you can pre-book and join us for some exhilarating rock climbing in the national park (one of the most famous free climbing sites in Europe).
There are hundreds of routes for beginner and experienced climbers to choose from and you'll get professional instruction from local experts. This is a popular activity, so make sure you pre-book before travel to guarantee your space. The minimum age to book a climbing package is eight years (minimum height at least 120cm and weight 30kgs). Children under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Don't forget to pack your hiking boots, the glorious Paklenica National Park has plenty of clearly marked paths to take you on a number of unforgettable walks and hikes.
The mountain biking is aimed at beginner to intermediates. Routes skirt the base of the national park, mainly on gravelly fire roads. There's loads of potential for more rides and our resourceful bike guides will be on a mission to discover loads more routes for all levels.
Back at the beachclub, there are six tennis courts with inclusive daily coaching and free play. If you're a keen player you can get some intensive coaching with the premium tennis pack. With just eight places available you'll get some quality time with the coaches, but we do recommend you pre-book before travel to save your space.
There’s also an outdoor fitness area and air-conditioned indoor fitness with views across the pool and gardens towards the sea.
Mountain bikes: TREK X Caliber 9 in a range of sizes (13.5",15.5", 17.5", 19.5", 21.5")
If you've got cycling shoes with cleats and are planning on bringing them with you, we advise that you should also bring your own pedals. That way, they are guaranteed to fit.
Tennis: a selection of adult and child rackets from Babolat.
The spa here is the real deal with indoor hydromassage whirlpool, resistance swimming pool with waterfall, hot tubs, steam bath and three types of sauna. There are a number of treatment rooms, including one designed especially for couples. The rooms are peaceful and beautifully designed - you won't want to leave.
Club board at Alana Beachclub is brought to you by a team of local chefs (daily breakfast, daily lunch and four evening meals each week). Tables are set on an alfresco terrace amongst fragrant pine trees and close to the water's edge. On non-inclusive evenings you can grab a snack from the beach bar, enjoy a bbq or take a 10-15 minute stroll into town, where there's a good selection of restaurants.
The hotel owner has his own vineyard and the wines are served in the restaurant. Choose from robust reds and crisp whites; they’re utterly delicious. At the end of the day, drink your sundowner with an awesome view from our rooftop cocktail bar.
Your inclusive evening meals are on the following days(if you're staying for 10 or 11 nights you get 6 inclusive evening meals):
Rooms and bathrooms in the central tower and either side of the freeform pool were completely refurbished in 2018, with contemporary styling and furnishings. We've also replaced the cabins with ones that have a slightly different layout. They no longer have a kitchenette and lounge but two ensuite bedrooms with more storage space and a small entrance hall with plenty of room for flip-flops and bags.
You have a great choice of rooms in three different areas of the beachclub. The central tower has rooms over nine floors; the views from the upper floors are hard to beat with some of our premium sea view rooms located on the 5th-9th floors. There are more rooms on either side of the pool, these are split over three floors, the majority of which look out across the gardens and many have sea views.
Choose from twin, double, family and interconnecting rooms. There are also 34 two-bedroom cabins with large wooden verandas. Five of the cabins have sea views, the private veranda is just a stone’s throw from the beach, ideal if you love to wake up to the sound of waves lapping the shore.
There’s lots for families with inclusive Neilson run kids’ clubs for children from two to 17 years. Make sure your children don't miss out, pre-book before you go to secure a space in the club they want.
There's also a creche for babies (four to 23 months) which is available for a supplement. You'll also find a pool for the little ones, play area, mini golf, lots of wide open spaces and warm, shallow water. We can also provide cots, baby baths, buggies and a 24-hour baby room for those with smaller children. The local town is also very family friendly.
Renowned for it's natural beauty, crystal clear water and abundance of historic sites, there's much to love about this beautiful country.
Take a stroll from the beachclub along the seafront promenade to the local village of Starigrad. It’s relaxed and easy going, with a handful of restaurants, overlooking the water. It's popular with the local residents too, so you get a real taste of their way of life. The gateway to the Paklenica National Park is just two kilometres from the beachclub and the park is an absolute must-see.
We also have an agency based at reception who can help you arrange excursions. There are days out to Krka national park to see the seven inter-linked waterfalls, Plitvce Lakes is another must-see with 16 lakes connected by 92 waterfalls - it is quite spectacular! You can also join a kayak safari to Zrmanja River, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe
Slightly further away, the beautiful, walled port of Zadar is a thirty-minute drive away and well worth a visit. Take a walk around the historic centre, where Roman ruins stand alongside Venetian inspired churches. This is a great place to visit on our non-inclusive nights with some wonderful restaurants scattered around the marina and in the old town.
