Ready to feel like you’re flying?
Hydrofoiling lifts you above the water, gliding smoothly with barely a sound. With the board out of the surface and the usual chop removed, it’s a quiet, weightless, and surprisingly effortless glide, once you get the hang of it.
At Cosmos Beach Club, you can learn to wing foil, using an inflatable handheld wing to catch the wind and power the board. There’s even a free taster session to get you started before committing to a course.
At Levante Beach Club, you can try wing surfing using the same handheld wing, but on a board without a foil. It’s a great introduction to the feeling of being powered by the wind, and a fun, accessible way to build confidence before progressing to foiling.
Wing Foiling
This fab new sport is a hybrid, a mix, a coming together of new technologies and possibilities from its sibling sports or windsurfing, surf foiling and kiting.
In simple terms, you hold the wing in your hands above your head, much like a sail, and then first kneel before standing and pump the board onto the ‘plane’ or foil. Once you’re up, you're away, and you can use the wing, the swell, a wave, or your own pumping effort to continue across, up and downwind.
Available at Cosmos Beach Club in Vassiliki, Greece.

With windsurfing, your sail is attached to the board, whereas with wing foiling, the wing sits in your hands unattached. Under the board there’s also a hydrofoil, so you lift clear of the water, gliding with no chop, no noise. If you've windsurfed before, plenty of the skills carry over. If you haven't, no problem, our instructors will get you up and gliding either way.
It's easier than it looks. Handling the wing comes quickly (most people get the feel for it within their first session), and getting up on the foil is the fun challenge that follows. That's exactly what our First Flights course at Cosmos Beach Club is designed for, so you get plenty of one-on-one time with your instructor.
