Sitting in a quiet and very scenic spot on the outskirts of Sauze is the Gran Bosco. It's the ideal choice if you're looking to explore as much of the 400km ski area as you can along with the superb après scene, but still get a peaceful night's rest.

It's around 900m to the Clotes lift and resort centre, and the hotel lays on a free shuttle bus on request to the resort centre every evening right up until midnight. Being in the Grand Villard residential area gives you some amazing views out across the valley and surrounding mountains.

After the slopes close and you've sampled a bit of Sauze's après, head back to enjoy a drink on the sun terrace, taking in the views before a delicious dinner. Or if you need a bit of TLC, there's a small wellness area that includes hot tub and sauna (there is a small charge which is payable locally).

    About the resort...

Sauze d'Oulx sits at the northern end of the huge Milky Way ski area, perched on a sunny plateau. 'Sunny Sauze' (as it's come to be known) is particularly popular with the Brits and it's not a huge surprise as the resort is big on skiing but equally big on nightlife. It's a party town that's made even better due to the legendary skiing and boarding on offer.

As the gateway to some 400km of piste, it's a magnet for skiers and boarders who also like a bit of party action as well as their time on the mountains. It's a fantastic place for intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders thanks to endless cruisy blue runs and nearly 200kms of challenging reds.

At night the resort really comes to life. There's a huge amount of clubs, restaurants and bars offering a little bit of everything - live music, DJ sets, dancing, all available late into the night! Come for the mountains and stay for the nightlife.
