Introduction To eFoiling

eFoiling is the latest water sport obsession powered by an electric hydrofoil board - a motorised board with a hidden wing under the water that lifts you up as you gain speed. Using a handheld remote or handlebars (but we're sure you won't need them), you control the power as the foil rises, letting you glide above the surface in a way that feels part surfing, part flying, and completely addictive. No waves, no wind, just pure, silent, smooth lift.  

It’s the perfect new addition to our active beach holidays, delivering that dreamy “floating over the water” moment everyone wants a slice of.

It’s trending because it delivers that rare, instant “wow” moment, smooth lift, silent speed and the surreal buzz of hovering above the sea. Add in the accessibility of beginner-friendly boards, and it’s no surprise why we're seeing it everywhere.

It may look like something borrowed from the future, but it started life as a clever mash-up of surfing, kitesurfing and clever hydrofoil engineering - all boosted by today’s high-tech electric motors. It's fun, and it's for everyone, whatever your skill level.

Want a taste of the action? We run free 20-minute taster sessions, giving you the perfect first go at flying above the water. You’ll get full safety briefings, expert tuition from our Neilson instructors, and the kind of calm, confidence-boosting support that turns nerves into “oh wow, I’m doing it!”  

Just sign up when you arrive at the resort, and we’ll get you on the board, buzzing and ready for more.  

Fallen in love with it already? You can also book 90-minute lessons in resort (for an additional cost) if you want to level up your skills and really take flight.

Frequently Asked Questions

An eFoil is a surfboard with a battery-powered motor and a hydrofoil wing underneath. As you pick up speed, the wing lifts the board clear of the water, so you're gliding silently about a metre above the surface. Speed is controlled with a wireless hand remote, and because the motor does all the work, you don't need waves or wind, just flat, calm water.

It's easier than it looks. You'll start lying down, progress to your knees, then stand up once you've got a feel for the board. Most people are up and foiling within their first session. If you've tried any board sport before you'll have a head start, but complete beginners will still pick it up pretty quickly. Our instructors will talk you through everything before you hit the water.

We have frequent taster sessions every week that you can book on the app 3 days before or just book on on the day in resort. If you want to book a 90-minute lesson, you can do that in resort for an additional cost.
