Welcome to
South Ionian Skippered flotilla
If you're interested in a flotilla holiday but don't have sailing experience, don't worry! Our skippered flotilla holidays are perfect for you. You'll feel right at home on your yacht in no time and have a blast sailing and exploring.
Our flotilla departs from Vounaki Beach Club in Greece, and we'll provide you with an RYA-qualified skipper to take charge of the yacht and guide you to some of the best swim stops and picturesque harbours in the Ionian. You'll be sailing alongside other Neilson yachts in the flotilla.
You can choose to participate in the sailing and help crew the yacht or simply relax and enjoy the sun and scenery. Our experienced skipper has insider knowledge of the local area, so you can trust that you're in good hands.
Good Energy
Sun, sea and sailing
See what all the fuss is about. A week of effortless sailing, Ionian sunshine and waterfront stop-offs has a habit of winning people over.
Where will the flotilla take you
Sailing the Ionian
Once you arrive at your Beach Club we’ll meet you down at the yacht pontoon and your skipper will show you around your home for the next week, your very own yacht. You’re then free to choose your cabin and settle in for your first night on board.
The following morning your skipper will join you on deck, before you know it you’ll be leaving your moorings behind and setting sail in the south Ionian. This is when the fun really begins!
Your skipper will be with you all day, teaching you the finer points of sailing but will leave your yacht in the evening to join the lead boat. That way you can enjoy some downtime with friends and family.

Sailing experience
Not everyone joins us as a seasoned sailor and that's kind of the point. With your own Neilson skipper at the helm, you can get involved as much or as little as you like. Learn the ropes, lend a hand or simply sit back, soak up the scenery and enjoy the ride. Better still, your skipper knows all the best bays, lunch stops and local secrets, so you're in very good hands.
The handy stuff
A few handy tips and useful information to help you get the most out of your sailing holiday.
Harbour and mooring fees are paid locally and are usually only a few Euros per night. Our skippers and lead crew will sort the berths at each port and let you know well in advance if there are any nominal mooring fees, so no need to worry, sit back and relax.
Your yacht will be ready from 5pm on your arrival day. Once settled on board, the Neilson crew will give an individual boat briefing. If you arrive after 7.30pm, the crew will provide a short briefing on essentials such as lights, loos and gas with a full boat briefing the following morning.
All boats will be back at the Neilson base before 6pm on the final sailing day and vacated by 9.30am on the day of departure.
