The Marco Polo sits in the centre of La Massana, a neighbouring town to Arinsal with its own ski area which forms part of the 93km Vallnord area.

It's ideally set up for families thanks to facilities like a children's area and games room, TV room, free Wi-Fi and the fact that it's only few minutes' walk to the La Massana gondola. There's also a free, private ski bus that will take anyone booked in to ski school over to Arinsal for their afternoon lessons.

La Massana is Andorra's third largest town so you won't be short of things to do off the slopes. Being in the centre means you're just a short walk from a selection of restaurants, bars and shops. After the slopes close, head back for a drink in the hotel bar before freshening up for a filling buffet evening meal.

About the resort

La Massana forms part of the 93km Vallnord ski area. It's about a ten minute bus ride from Arinsal and a great choice for families and beginners as there are plenty of nursery slopes, a superb British-run ski and board school and plenty of things to do off the slopes.

With its own gondola giving access into the Pal sector of the ski area, skiing in La Massana means you're in for a treat as there are cruisy tree lined blues and reds crisscrossing the mountain and plenty of terrain to test all levels. A gondola connecting you into the Arinsal ski area is just 5 minutes further up the valley and is covered on the same lift pass. Alternatively, you can hop on a bus and head to nearby Arcalis for some fantastic off-piste and even a couloir or two.

Away from the slopes, it's a busy and bustling place as the main high street has a host of sports shops, local and international restaurants and cafes along with a handful of bars for an après drink or two. There's also a public bus service which runs throughout the day connecting La Massana with Arinsal and the nation's capital, Andorra la Vella.
