Adorned with wooden eaves and wrought iron ornaments, this is a picturesque little hotel that you'll fall in love with. The Hotel Bizev is, in a word, cosy. Its relaxed and casual atmosphere makes it ideal families and friends on holiday together.
The hosts even serve free coffee and tea with biscuits at 5pm on the dot daily, and make a home cooked three course buffet dinner every evening. The ski lifts are 900m away, but a free hotel-run shuttle bus service to and from the gondola is run daily. You'll have access to a sauna, free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and a cosy lounge area too.

About the resort
Set high up in the Pirin mountains, Bansko is the largest Bulgarian resort and it has a lot to offer. The lift system is one of the most modern in Eastern Europe and it serves the best variety of skiing across skill levels. The runs are mainly tree-lined which not only makes it picturesque, it feels safer for those just starting out on skis or snowboards.
There's plenty of English speaking instructors offering lessons for beginners, but intermediates won't be left out either as there's an great choice of cruisy blue and red runs to keep everyone busy. The lessons, lift pass and kit hire is all at incredibly reasonable prices making it a great choice for those on a budget.
For après-ski, most hotels have wellness facilities to keep you relaxed and limber when you aren't up the mountain. And if you're itching to head into town, you'll find a great choice of restaurants and bars to keep you occupied - don't miss a visit to a traditional 'Mehana' or tavern as the entertainment is unforgettable.

Food and drink
The personal touches continue with the meals at Hotel Bizev. With half board you can expect a hot and cold breakfast buffet as well as a three-course buffet dinner (home-cooked of course). We weren't kidding about it being personal!
The Hotel Bizev is more like a guesthouse than a hotel as it has just nine rooms available. The rooms are a good size - some have a balcony but all have cable TV, a mini-bar and a bath or shower.
